Report a translation problem
why do you think im asking here.
and if it doesnt exist. WHAT THE HECK? thats like, the biggest issue with this game (aside from bad ui) and no modder has bother to fix it? tbh the mods i did see, kinda just made me think there is almost no modding community anyways, as most of it... ...just is disappointing to see be the main thing a modding community makes...
1. What part of the multiplayer is the problem? The unskippable cutscenes for Assignment Quests? The session/quest mechanics? Rank requirements? Is it the "region lock"?
2. What's wrong with the menus? Is it the UI delays? The console design choices that didn't translate well to PC? The arcane chat system?
I have a rather low tolerance for bad UI design and I never had issues myself so far, since 2018. Sure, it has that console-y feeling, but it works well if you adjust it a little. For example, the radial menu is clunky as hell with a mouse, but using the number keys instead to use items is very pleasant.
You might as well not have answered,
TL;DR: Tell me what exactly is wrong so people (including myself) have a higher chance of providing suggestions or solutions. I already have some ideas about which mods you can use, but I want more information first.
Some core things can not be changed even with mods, because it's either impossible, too difficult or no one had a big enough problem with something to mod it.
Skippable cutscenes. Be wary of its limitations, it's not perfect
Because of the way the game is constructed, it is quite difficult to make mods for the UI, let alone the menus. But trust me when I tell you the menus are still fine, if you ever play the old games or Rise/Wilds you will end up missing the World menus lol
In the guide below, look for:
- Better Input Detection (if you are also bothered by the controls)
- Skippable Cutscenes (if you want to skip the cutscenes)
- Better Matchmaking (to expand your search area when looking for sessions)
- Instant Equipment Box and Smithy UI (makes some UI appear instantly instead of "sliding in")
- No Forced Hub Change After Quests - Return to Original Location (feels like you might be a victim of this, so I'll include this too)
