Specially for Elder Dragons.
That and! Certain quests have increased / decreased chances to spawn gold crowned monsters, and some have pre-determined sizes. Maybe the mission you've selected has a pre-determined monster size, and even then, if the quest description doesn't specifically say that it's got increased / decreased monster sizes, I wouldn't bother.
My advice? Skip the RNG BS and just get this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/4581/
Just mod it to save your sanity though.
PS: https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/4496 I have been using this one and it works out. The other mod hasn't been updated for quite some time so you can also try this one.
Ah yes, turn the achievement into a checklist, a very elegant solution.
It's their fault for putting in pure RNG achievements.
I don't know what you think but achievements are meant to be meaningful and I'm not rolling a dice to get one.
>Achievements are meant to be meaningful
>Advocates modding to strip it of any meaning and/or difficulty
Sound logic
im still struggling with pre iceborne golden crowns XD
still missing 3 monsters
after than i'll move focus on iceborne
That's not meaningful, that's definitely not difficulty.
It's just a pointless grind.
mr had already increased crown chances
you got every crown after 30 kills on average, but looks like some people are super unlucky or using the wrong method
as already mentioned investigations or guilding lands for better chances
nothing wrong with using mods after wasting 250 kills
he could also use a discord for crown hunting, where you also never knew, if the people, who offer help simply used mods to help others ...
I don't think he will care or understand but maybe he will.
They won't. It's also funny because the achievement in and of itself is just a checklist of whether or not you've encountered and killed X monster at Y / Z size. Why wouldn't you want to save your time by getting a mod that allows you to complete the checklist quickly and efficiently?
Something called pride, some people are just way too stubborn.
