Best dual blade for most fights?
I searched online and I have found answers saying you should get one of each element, but is there a dual blade which will perform decent in almost every fight like a raw one? Because I am not sure what element each monster is weak to

go fatalis DB if you're going raw, other than that you'll have to stick with those elemental db

Fatalis. If you're not at that point, Lightbreak kind of works but you're going to have significantly better results if you just farm out the elemental sets. That's kind of DB's thing.

1. For what monster are weak to what elements, you need to gather more tracks and then you can get that information on your hunters guide

2. For elemental DB, the most used are ice elements from the MR kulve taroth drop as it has thicc white sharpness and huge amount of ice damage

3. For sets, Elemental sets are best with full armor Xafi’jiiva, or if you’re on a budget get the silver rathalos for crit elemental

Probably Fatalis for general usage but it will take a while to get that far. Also, you will need the proper decos to counter the negative Crit Rate / Affinity.

Velkhana Armor×4 Pieces(Velkhana Divinity Effect)+Critical eye LV7(must have)+Critical boost LV3(must have)+Weakness Exploit LV3(must have)+Fortify LV1+Health boost Lv3+Agitator LV5 or Peak Performance LV3+ Stun Resistance LV3. After this you can use Fatalis/Lightbreak/Demonlord to play physics DB.
But remember, this is still a wizard who uses physical attacks. The positioning of DB is melee physical mixed magic (elemental) damage, and the elemental influence is greater.

If you want something universal, just go with a something with high sharpness and good raw and go to town. No need to worry about elemental weaknesses unless you actually care about shaving your clear times. And since you're searching for this information I'm assuming you're still nowhere near as good as a speedrunner is (don't worry, most of us aren't), in which case better put your time and energy into getting better with the weapon and with different monsters, worry about optimizing your gear after. You'll shave more time by getting better anyway than by crafting a weapon matching elemental weakness.

My suggestions:

If you're in HR, just get Nergi's DBs, looooong sharpness and good raw, very comfy. Also easy to craft and upgrade.

If you're in MR, Frozen Barioth weapons are all REALLY good for how soon you can get them (basically right after finishing the story). The DBs have sharpness for days, good raw, and the ice element is a nice bonus against monsters weak to it.

Obviously, not the most optimal weapons for each fight, but they're still really strong and will easily get you through all the content in World and Iceborn without any issues. Especially if you pair them with a decent armor set.

if you're looking for the "best" dual blade for most fights, it'd probably be a dual blade with blast on it since virtually nothing has total immunity to blast. Barring that, your next best option would be something with dragon. Only a handful of monsters in the entire game are outright immune to dragon (only like 8 in the whole game, including iceborne). A bit over half of the monsters not immune to dragon are 2 or 3 stars weak to it

DBs are elemental weapons. The Fatalis DBs are basically the only raw DB variants worth caring about once you're out of high rank, as you only lose around 5-8% damage in comparison to element against most matchups, and Fatty DBs are actually the best against monsters with bad elemental weak zones, like Ruiner Nerg, Zinogre, etc..

A brief rundown of the best elements to use against which monster:

Fire: Great Jagras, Paolumu, Kirin, Vaal Hazak, Acidic Glavenus, Shrieking Legiana, Barioth (kinda), Beotodus, Velkhana (kinda), Namielle (kinda)

Water: Kulu Ya-Ku, Yian Garuga, Great Girros, Ebony Odogaron, Tobi Kadachi, Anjanath, Glavenus, Uragaan, Lavasioth, Brute Tigrex, Nightshade Paolumu, Silver Rathalos, Teostra. Jyuratodus shifts between a water and thunder weakness.

Ice: Coral Pukei, Tzi-Tzi Ya-Ku, Odogaron, Zinogre (kinda; only when charged), Fulgur Anjanath, Brachydios/Raging, Seething Bazel, Diablos/Black, Shara Ishvalda, Teostra, Lunastra. Kulve Taroth shifts between an ice and thunder weakness. Rajang is weak to ice on its head, while Furious Rajang cuts that ice weakness down by 1/3rd. Alatreon shifts between an ice and fire weakness (it is barely weak to dragon. It's dragon weakness is actually less than half of its ice/fire weakness in its fire/ice state).

Thunder: Pukei, Dodogama, Viper Tobi, Deviljho/Savage, Bazel, Nargacuga, Tigrex, Legiana, Gold Rath, Kushala, Nergigante (not really), Stygian Zin (only when charged)

Dragon: Banbaro, Deviljho/Savage, Radobaan, Rathalos/Azure, Rathian/Pink, Ruiner Nergigante (not really), Vaal Hazak (once its parts are broken).

You really will get the most out of fast hitting weapons like DB and Bow by making different sets and switching them up per monster, but if you want to just use Fatty DBs, you won't lose too terribly much in damage overall, and against things like uncharged Zinogre (which it will not be charged if you're doing it right) and Ruiner Nerg, Fatty DBs are actually the superior choice because the elemental hit zone values of the monster are too low to take advantage of.

Element's a whole new ballgame, tbh, and it's very rewarding to learn. I love seeing those 120s pop up on the first hits of a Demon Dance.

Anything labeled kinda or not really is a matchup where Fatalis DBs can equal or outperform.
