How to unlock "Full armor sets" for Palico?
I'm playing with someone, we both started characters at the same time doing all the same quests together, and SOMEHOW they don't have this option available? I wanted to show them the Moogle gear set, but the option "full armor set" for Palicos is gone.

How is this feature unlocked? What could they have missed?

They need to unlock a full armor set (head and body armor that can't be worn separately) to see that section.

Has your friend done the Final Fantasy crossover quests?

We both did the quest where the Kulu grows from the Aetheryte (they even have a few shards for it) and then after dropped into Behemoth a few times (didn't win). I can see it, but they can't.

Weapons and armor are unlocked to appear at the smithy by obtaining your first of a specific common material from the monster they are crafted from. Your friend needs to obtain at least one Behemoth Mane in order to be able to see the Moogle set at the Smithy.

But I don't have any Behemoth parts either, only the Aetheryte Shards, and it's showing up for me. I don't even have the tickets yet.

I'm not specifically talking about Moogle showing up in the "Full armor sets", I'm talking about the option "Full Armor Sets" itself. They don't have it, only "standard equipment". I bought them the base game + DLC + deluxe editions, so I don't think it's because they don't have some form of DLC, but at this point I'm lost.

EDIT 2

Okay, I looked through mine, and the only thing I have is Cursed Bones for the Nekker. But they have Cursed Bones too. I'm really confused. lol

Okay, so we doubled checked. The events can't even be double completed, so at this point, I have no idea why it's not unlocked. Anyone know how to specifically unlock "Full armor sets" OPTION for Palicos? Is it a side quest somewhere, and if so, what is it called?

Relevant crafting options automatically unlock when you meet the requirements to make anything from it.

You don't see armor for a specific monster until you get materials from it. You don't see augments until you get an augmentation material. You don't see full armor sets until you unlock one by getting the relevant material.

I found the answer!

It is not the monster materials that unlock this option, such as "Cursed Bones" for the Nekker or the Behemoth parts for the Moogle. You MUST get the tickets/symbols to unlock viewing them, not monster materials. I had gotten one and sold it, making it seem like I had the same items as my fellow hunter, when in fact we did not. They only had the monster parts, never a ticket.

So, without the tickets or symbols, you will not get the option even if you have all of the materials for crafting.
