It *might* be possible if the person in question plays literally nothing else except the higher EXP quests, but a "normal" person in an average playthrough won't do that. It's more plausible to assume foulplay in this case.

Definitely cheating, it took me like 1900 hours to reach MR999, granted that I didn't always play high exp reward quests but that should give you the idea..

I highly doubt it. I'm about 400hrs in and are only around hr180 mr160

I remember watching a video a long while ago about a guy who had his community help him speed level. He did this by having them all start high exp quests and leave the monster 1 hit away from death/capture then as soon as he loaded in they would finish off the monster which would give him full rewards. He has a bunch of different groups doing this to the point that he was basically constantly joining a new hunt as soon as he left the previous one. If you did something like this I could see getting 999 in 300 hours as feasible.

Odds are though that if you see someone with those hours and those levels its likely modded.

well there's a video on how to do it but there no info on how much time you need to reach it. so that's that i guess.

Not even if you're good and spam Alatreon/Fatalis every 10 min (1 MR every 2 kills)

Grinding lands monsters will give pretty insane amounts of XP compared o normal quests.
Even then, it takes some serious speedrunning effort to get close.

300 hours is a bit too low. Even considering completing a quest every 5 minutes there isn't enough points.

yes you can do it by exploiting grinding lands with twink account, but this stuff will be super boring, so you could just use the save editor to get the same result.

it took me around 800h to get mr/hr 999 in rise can't remember how long it took in mhw,

you can check their guild card and steam profile or simply ask them directly...
