it shouldn't be like that.
maybe the textures are actually not streaming from the hard drive properly, do you have a mechanical hard drive or a ssd?

edit: also did you download the high resolution textures? they need more than 6gb of vram to be used, the in the options menu in the title screen you can see you how much vram is being used you can't have it filled dup

Yes, I have a mechanical hard drive, but I dont have issues like this with any other game

Did you by any chance install the hi-rez texture pack?
As that would be a bit too much for a 1060.

Maybe post your graphic settings here?

each game is its own thing.

what about the high resolution texture pack, are you using it? how much vram is your option menu saying it is using?

Set Dynamic Range to 32 bit and try turning off Anti-Aliasing (or change it to what best fits you).
Insane Scientist Jul 17, 2021 @ 11:49am
I also recommend turning off anti-aliasing, FXAA at most if you much prefer having it on, this game has very poor anti-aliasing implementation that causes significant blurring and loss of sharpness, your better off disabling anti-aliasing and adding some externally via graphics card control panel or reshade if you really want to keep some. Also as far as I can tell dynamic range set to 64-bit does nothing, one of my monitors is for graphic design with hdr and 140% sRGB color spectrum, I can see literally no difference enabling if I display the game on that monitor.

Not sure why texture on wood panel is so bad, I play with high res tex pack but I think SH diffuse quality can affect textures a bit, hope that helps at least a little.

Bruh, I have 1060 6Gb and Ryzen 5 3600, game on HDD, so your specs are better.
And I still can easily run High Rez textures mod + reshade + other visual mods.
That red VRAM bar is a joke. I'm over 6Gb and it's all good.
Here's what I did to my game for max quality/performance (i'm at stable 60 all the time):

I have a 1060 myself and 64 bit will overheat my gfx card quite quick while offering no real quality enhancement. No clue if that was a bug in the drivers or something.
I noticed years ago that it won't work well with mhw.

I honestly doubt 64 would even work with an expensive monitor. In russian language we have an enhanced description of it saying "Might not make any changes even on HDR supporting systems".
So it's literally a settings that eats away like 4 fps with no visual changes whatsoever.

*UPDATE* My information appears to be out of date as I can now use the HRT without load issues *END UPDATE*

(Below is incorrect in terms of load times)
Just want to point out, using High texture mode even on good equipment sucks. It takes to long to load the game. i7-5820k, 8GB 2080 and the game installed on my 1TB Samsung 980. And setting the high resolution pack ends up making the goal load around 4 to 5 times longer per hunt. And while in the action you aren't noticing that tree.
