i have mouse with 3 side buttons and 3 extra buttons below mouse scroll wheel, but the game doesn't allow me to assign the 3rd button on the side and the 3 buttons bellow the scroll wheel wonder if there any way to make those button work?
My controller been having joystick drift so i bought this specific mouse with lots of buttons to hope use as replacement and goes back to kb and mouse, boy i were so disappointed.

Do you not have a program like Logitech G Hub? It's what I use to bind my keys. Not the game itself. Most won't recognize the extra keys.

Set your mouse so each button is a different keyboard input. I would suggest macro two keys onto one button since World tend to need button combination for certain attacks. Triangle + Circle is a popular one.

What's the mouse? Odds are, it needs its software to do it. FFXIV wouldn't let me do it with any of my Logitechs unless I had the software installed and opened when playing.

I just never bothered to use the thumb buttons by themselves (as in, Mouse 4, 5, 6 and so on). The game wouldn't detect them for me as well, if I remember correctly.

Not sure if it will help, but it might give you an idea. You see, I have a Logitech G502 Hero and I bound CTRL, SHIFT and ALT to the 3 thumb buttons, so I rarely have to press them with my left hand. Since I use a scheme that uses CTRL a lot in World, it worked out for me. Playing Hammer doesn't give me carpal tunnel syndrome anymore.

The scheme in question here[imgur.com], in case you are interested.

Unrelated, but I also recommend a mod that makes the controls way easier to deal with by letting you hold keys for most actions. You can find it here[www.nexusmods.com]. It actually saved me from getting carpal tunnel syndrome a second time when I was playing the game for way longer than I probably should have.

Well, crap.

I use Logitech Gaming Software for that (the new one sucks ass), but I'm not sure if that will work for you or not.

Doesn't your mouse have some sort of esoteric software no one has heard about or something? If not, then I'm afraid I have no clue.
