Not sure if it will help, but it might give you an idea. You see, I have a Logitech G502 Hero and I bound CTRL, SHIFT and ALT to the 3 thumb buttons, so I rarely have to press them with my left hand. Since I use a scheme that uses CTRL a lot in World, it worked out for me. Playing Hammer doesn't give me carpal tunnel syndrome anymore.
The scheme in question here[imgur.com], in case you are interested.
Unrelated, but I also recommend a mod that makes the controls way easier to deal with by letting you hold keys for most actions. You can find it here[www.nexusmods.com]. It actually saved me from getting carpal tunnel syndrome a second time when I was playing the game for way longer than I probably should have.
I use Logitech Gaming Software for that (the new one sucks ass), but I'm not sure if that will work for you or not.
Doesn't your mouse have some sort of esoteric software no one has heard about or something? If not, then I'm afraid I have no clue.
