i originally played this game in my ps4 before it broke and yeah it ran at around 30 fps, but since it was stable it was playable.
if i could at least manage to run this on my pc at a stable 30 fps and no input delay whatsoever i wouldn't mind at all since i play with my controller anyway :P
i guess it comes down on what you consider "playable". some people have high standards to this while others don't really care for graphics as long as it hits at least 30-60 fps ahaha.
i'll eventually upgrade my pc soon tho. how many years do you think the 970 will last with current games while pushing 60 fps?
the game loves to kick the weakest link to restore good game experience for the rest of the team
you can return than to the forum and complain about mw-1
Considering the hardware you listed, I recommend an upgrade if that's a possible option in the foreseeable future. I currently run an RTX 3060 Ti and a Ryzen 7 5800x. The game runs at 120+ to 144 FPS, without any stuttering or noticeable performance drops. It runs hot, of course, since I run it at really high framerates while everything (except crap like Volumetric Fog) maxed out. Runs at high 60's to 70 C in Winter. Low 70's in warmer times.
Finally, the game is mainly bottlenecked by the CPU for a lot of people. I got my 3060 Ti before the Ryzen 7 5800x, and the performance improvement was somewhat small (maybe 15 to 20 FPS). I got a big boost once I swapped out my CPU (like 40+ FPS on average). I now usually cap out on FPS unless there are a lot going on. Using the performance mod that reduces CPU usage by a large margin improves performance and stability noticeably. However, that won't help much if your hardware is overwhelmingly outdated.
PS: I still have my ol' trusty GTX 1060. Got it in 2016 and swapped it out in 2023. It served me well for a long time. Kinda wish I figured out what to do with it. It's just sitting in its original box somewhere in the house now. No one would buy it, so I'll probably donate it or something once I stop being lazy.
PPS: What Cruste mentioned above is accurate. Carting when you have low-end hardware may stutter the game and drop you out of the session/quest due to desync.
