Is it ok to use mods in online multiplayer?

I just beat the MHW Iceborne story and planning to make a new run with bow only. Is it ok to use QOL mods only like Item Description and Item Drop EFX in Online Multiplayer?

Be sure to use a mod overlay that shows the damage each player dealt and post it in the chatbox at the end of the quest, but only if you won the dps race "/s"
