Monster Hunter isn't a franchise that's gonna appeal to everyone and while MHW did wonders bringing the series to the forefront, it's still not a game that just about anyone can get into. That applies to people who started out with Rise as it and World are quite different. That's not a bad thing, though. It's good to have a diverse market.
I've seen those reviews too, and they just make me smile to be honest.
There's extremely little self-reflection going on with people in general.

the game's already made it's money and has already established its place in gaming as a whole.

EDIT: i checked the store page, recent reviews are at 92% positive. even higher than the 88% from all reviews. i don't know that OP is on.
That sounds like you're talking just about people who are starting out, however, what about the people who get to Alatreon or Fatalis then leave a bad review because they can't beat them? Even though they've probably put in close to 100 hours already and beat everything else.
