Transmog weapon mods are almost all purely clientside which means you wont see it on your end afaik
The only mods/cheats you will see are in MH series that will affect you are: modded quests, Player running around oneshotting stuff/one hit breaking parts, not taking damage, Vita mantle lasting forever and the ability to never lose sharpness.
And even then, all are super rare (maybe 1 hunt out of 10k hunts) and you can always just host the server so you can boot those players.
thaank you for the answer! Have a great day everybody!
they say you can, but from what ive googled almost no one gets banned lol. Maybe if you sent direct video recorded proof THEY MAY do something. But I dont think capcome cares about cheats for most their games.
How do I know? There is no system in place that can penalize the player. I would have gotten banned more times than I could count if that was a thing.
Unless you somehow manage to directly offend Capcom (like an actual hacking attack on their servers or something), nothing will happen. They straight up don't care.
If this is your take on it then, console might be the best bet. Many people use appearance mods, it doesn't give then any advantage over you. It just makes them happy to see their characters the way they'd like. Nearly everyone I've met so far has had some sort of appearance mods or mods that change the music. It is an inevitability.
I quit console, comeback to the game 3 weeks ago on PC, as soon as i hit the end game after 300 hours cheater are everywhere. Their level of toxicity is unmatched.
Sorry to say that but you don't have to believe me, play the game and see it for yourself . Now 100% of the time i'm just playing solo .
Some regions just have more cheaters than others.
Most people just use mods in general for things that dont impact someone else. if you run into the same people chances are you will end up partying and playing lots of sessions together.
The places I would run into cheaters were in the fatalis fight and the guiding lands.
I been booted before for being a noob on this game ( not enough DPS), not sure if it was an in built system or a modded lobby.
