I've been playing for three or so days actually, only problem that I had were a few stutters if there were too many things happening in the screen at once (worse was during an Anjanath fight in the rain in the middle of a lot of other small monsters and then when a Rathian attacked it, as soon as we moved it was fine) and that the audio gets waaaay delayed on some cutscenes. Game plays fine most of the time outisde of that, which is why I want to get Iceborn while it's on a pretty good sale.
Also it's still pretty early so if my save glitches I won't lose hundreds of hours, just about twelve lol.
Depending on whether or not you are playing the game in DX11 mode (you can see it from the start menu > options), there's actually a performance mod that you can grab if your Windows OS is up-to-date with the latest Visual Studio redists that severely fixes CPU hitching. You can probably push some more frames on an AMD GPU system with the Fidelity setting active.
For those of us with RTX systems that have access to DX12, the DLSS +0.4 mode is letting my RTX 3060Ti run this buttery smooth at 1620p with all of the settings maxed. Just stay away from the Hires 4K tex pack (it's pretty much for the streamers with the god-systems) if you want to eliminate ALL hitching and keep your cosmetic mods stable.
I'm very impressed with the game's state right now, and the longer you wait to grab Iceborne, the longer it will take for you to integrate the new movesets that Iceborne added into your rotation.
I've never experienced the save bug(s) but it's worth backing up your saves before you add DLC or update any game.
