But the last two boss does need you to either git gud or min-max to make up for your skill (or lack thereof) however.
But no Min-Maxing is required.
For the IceBorne campaign: same as above. There is a huge difficulty spike when moving from vanilla -> IceBorne but it is immediately offset by just making your first set of equipment from the first (few) monsters in IceBorne
Optional quests and extra bosses: Only the last two monsters in the game (from the IceBorne expansion) really require any degree of thought into your gear and how good you are at the game. There are also unique fights, akin to raiding in MMOs, which are played differently than simply just loading into the map and killing the monster, but these are game mechanics than can be learned easily.
You are talking about base game blue dragon? Because that one was easiest compared with all basic monsters tbh. I am very casual player. It is big of course but i was surprised how easy it is with a bit of awareness
