Which regions to keep at 7?
Now that we have all regions unlocked, which region would you recommend at lvl7?
I got wasteland and volcanic at lvl7. Not sure what else to level? Tundra? Coral? Forest?

What are your choices and what are the reasons?

In guiding lands, location determines if a lure tempered or not. This means picking the focus of your guiding lands will essentially determine what materials you have immediate access to. With that, I've listed what monsters spawn tempered uniquely in one location, thus requiring a lvl 7 version of that land, for those materials to be available. I've also listed if they can be melded or not, in case you just need the material but are not willing to put in the work. I chose Tempered Crownhorn because Velkhana is the most farmed elder dragon in GL and also the most generous with her melding fodder.

Ancient Forest- Can be Ignored
Ancient Forest- (1 elder dragon, 2 unique spawns but the drops are meldable)
Scarred Garuga- Tempered Silverpelt - R11 Health Augment lvl1 (meldable, crownhorn)
Kadachi- Tempered Cathode - R10 Affinity Augment lvl3 (meldable, crownhorn)

Wildspire- (4 unique spawns, 2 elder dragons, avoid unless you're running elemental heavy sets (bow, dagger, elem CB, SA, etc)
Gold Rathian- Tempered Gold Scale- R12 Element Attack lvl3 (unmeldable)
Black Diablos- Blackcurl Temperhorn- R12 Slot Augment lvl1 (meldable, crownhorn)
Diablos- Twisted Temperhorn- R10 Attack Augment lvl2 (meldable, crownhorn)
Barroth- Tempered Crown- R11 Defense Augment lvl4 (meldable, crownhorn)

Rotten- (1 Elder Dragon, optional: Vaal Hazak Mod+)
Brutal Tigrex- Tempered Ebonjaw- Weapons (meldable, crownhorn)
Vaal Hazak- Tempered Twilight Fang- R10 Health Augment lvl3, Vaal Hazak Mod+ affinity lvl 6 (unmeldable)
Acidic Glavenus- Tempered Tailblade- R10 Health Augment lvl2, (meldable, crownhorn)
Radobaan- Tempered Oilshell- R12 Element Augment lvl1 (meldable, crownhorn)

Coral- (4 unique spawns, essential for various useful lvl 12 augments, all unobtainable vial melder. )
Silver Rathalos- Tempered Silver Scale- R12 Attack Augment lvl2, R12 Health Augment lvl2, R10 Health Augment lvl4 (unmeldable)
Namielle- Tempered Trancehide- R12 Health Augment lvl1 (unmeldable)
Kirin- Tempered Azure Horn- R10 Element Augment lvl 4 (unmeldable)
Paolumu- Tempered Rubbery Shell- Guardian Charm III (meldable, crownhorn)

Lava- (4 unique spawns, 3 elder dragons, essential)
Rajang- Tempered Glimmerpelt- Slot II Augment all weapons, (unmeldable)
Seething Bazel- Tempered Blastscale- R11 Affinity Augment lvl4, R12 Health Augment lvl2 (unmeldable)
Brachydios- R11 Slot Augment lvl 2, Tempered Ebonshell- Brachydios Mod+ attack lvl6 (meldable)
Uragaan- Tempered Scute- R11 Slot Augment lvl2, Uragaan Mod+ element lvl 6 (meldable)
Lavasioth- Tempered Magmafin- R11 Affinity Augment lvl3 (meldable)

Tundra- (required for endgame augments and GSV farming)
Barioth- Tempered Icefang- R10 Slot III, R11 Affinity Augment lvl4, R12 Affinity lvl3 (meldable, crownhorn)
Viper Kadachi- Tempered Viperthorn- R11 Slot IV (meldable crownhorn)
Tempered Shrieking- Tempered Frosthide- R11 Slot III, RIII Attack Augment lvl3
Stygian Zinogre- Tempered Dragonhold- R11 Attack Augment lvl3, R11 Affinity lvl4, R11 Element Augment lvl 4, R12 Slot III (no data)

It does appear that the most useful regions are Lava and Tundra, the former for its sheer amount of lure options and the latter for the endgame content. Coral places third for having 2 unique elder dragon spawns.

I think Rotten is the easiest for farming great stones, tempered Vaal isn't much of a big deal

Since now you can keep three area at level 7:

First one are Forest and Wasteland since these two areas unlocked some most important monsters and also events, namely: Yian Garuga (Temper version is and Scarred Yian Garuga) for the forest area. Lunastra & Gold Rathian for the wasteland. The tempered Yian Garuga can only be freely encountered in guiding lands. Otherwise, you need a lucky investigation or events.

You can let go wasteland sunk after you reached far enough to unlock volcanic area and cleared the stuffs there. Keep the forest for Deviljho, Nargacuga, Ruiner Nergi and many more. Since forest area is the center area, keeping it in check should also be easier.

Volcanic area is key area to keep high since it holds three temper monsters that can not be found on regular missions; Rajang, Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos all the temper version may spawn here freely. Along with some other monsters.

Then you may freely rotate between the others: Rotten vale, coral, tundra or return to wasteland spire.

Personal opinion at the bottom of the list would be Coral or Tundra: Most of the area-exclusive monsters do not provide much for any meta high-tier equipment OR they can be encountered easily in regular repeatable missions.
===
Adjustment:
Late game does most likely require Tundra stuffs (as like volcanic does when it just released)

So the two most important area at early: Forest & Wasteland since you need to unlock events there.

Late: Volcanic, Tundra.

The rest are free to rotate.

metal rath in the volcanic is not tempered
You want coral region lvl 7 because it gives access to both tempered nami parts and zinogre parts which are needed for health regen augments (on rarity 12 weapons). Elder dragons here: Nami | Kirin | Velkhana.

After that id recommend volcanic as it can have the elder dragons from other regions: Tem Lunastra |Tem Tem Teostra |Tem Kushala, it also has tempered rajang. So the only reason to have lvl 7 wildspire or forest would be for tempered gold rathian and scarred yian garuga.

As for the 3rd region it's entirely up to personal preference i'd say. Not sure yet if the newly added tundra region is considered a "must".

Tempered Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos can't spawn in Volcanic, they spawn in lvl7 Wildspire and Coral respectively.

Volcanic is definitely worth keeping at 7 regardless, as it can spawn most of the tempered elders all in one zone. Plus, you'll need Tempered Rajang parts for R12 augment slots; tundra is worth keeping at 7 for the same reason.

I agree with the last comments:
I am going for Volcanic and Coral for sure and, for the third, I will try Tundra

Ah my mistake about the gold-silver wyvern.

I haven't checked much about specific Tundra materials. Well, if you said so, I guess I missed up.

You need tempered Stygian for the third R12 augment slot in addition to tempered Ruiner mats (but tempered Ruiner is any lvl 7 zone).
For me Coral Highlands, Rotten, and Lava..
Coral because Tempered Kirin is easy to fight with gunlance and Tempered Namielle for health regen augmen
Rotten because Tempered Vaal Hazak isn't that hard to kill
And lava because Tempered Rajang
Thanks, guys,! I will then go lava, coral and tundra.
To preface, you should get every single region to 7 at least once and fight everything in its Tempered form at least once. If you haven't done this, you should NOT settle down to a specific set of region levels.

To make something of a tier list out of this:

#1 priority is Volcanic. Most Elder Dragons spawn here and Tempered Rajang is exclusive here. To be honest, I have no idea what the MH Team were thinking with this zone. Everyone should have a lv7 Volcanic.

#2 priority is Tundra. Not only are useful spawns like Tempered Banbaro more common here than in other zones, but Tempered Barioth, Tempered S. Legiana, and Tempered S. Zinogre are all required for Extra Slots III Augments for various rarities.

#3 priority is Coral. Tempered Namielle is massively important to farm for R12 health augments and Tempered Silverlos is useful for a few things too. Also features a high concentration of exclusive monsters like the aforementioned Namielle and Kirin.

#4 priority is Wasteland/Rotten Vale. These two Zones are worth levelling but if you do depends on personal preference and what Augments you like using. Tempered Goldthian and Tempered BV Hazak are these two zones' exclusive monsters but they have some others you may be interested in farming. It should be noted that Tempered Radobaan is one of the most useful monsters in the GL to farm.

#5 priority is Forest because it has zero exclusive drops that aren't meldable. S. Yian Garuga IS a handy monster to farm but its drops are meldable so it's eh.

I hate farming levels, so I will just settle with three region and do the other regions by joining people or asking on discord for specific monsters.
