Is mouse and keyboard okay?

So I've been playing with controller but I just tried out mouse and keyboard and OMG it feels so much nicer for me... Do people tend to play with M&K or is it personal preference?

It's up to anyone's tastes, really.There's M&K players, there's controller players, and i'm sure someone played this on a steering wheel.

I have known of people who played thousands of hours with a controller. Same for keyboard. Got 1500~ hours without ever using my controller for MHW and never really had any issues.

I recommend the control scheme in the album below, in case you need any adjustments. I heard that they messed it up in Iceborne somehow, though, I wasn't affected personally.

I like the mouse and keyboard controls. They feel really good.
Took me by surprise.

But yeah, I never got used to controllers. I'm just really bad with them.

I only wish they had made a dedicated climb button. Auto-climb just really sucks. But that's true for both I guess.

It depends on personal taste, also what kind of weapon you are using cause sometimes is easier with mouse and keyboard or controler

Surprisingly good KBM controls. I started on gamepad but it had some issues so I switched to KBM for a session and haven't gone back since. The aim mode/aiming can take some getting used to but the rest is nice and smooth.

Protip, the game will display 1 prompt for actions but sometimes you can use alternate ones. Like spacebar, RMB, and Esc are common.

If I remember right, on release of World the kbm setup was trash, and when iceborne came out it got much better

depends i think controller is better then mouse keyboard on this game , feels different

I like Keyboard and Mouse, but understand if others prefer a controller.
