Rest is cosmetic
The only things you can't buy are the preorder bonuses (2 cosmetic outfit sets) as far as I'm aware, and they can be added via mods... so they don't really matter. You can buy any other cosmetic individually, if you want to.
But this only holds the expansion, without the base game, right?
Yep, so it seems. XD
So which one is right?
1) currently if memory serves me right we have like 3 packages,
-1 which is the "Deluxe" edition, that one is just the DLC and a bonus which involves layered armor(basically a cosmetic you can put over all your gear so you always look epic regardless of what you actually equiped) and a lot of extra cosmetic furniture like tables, chairs, rugs, and extra details for charcter customization(hairstyles, face paints, extra stickers(for chat), taunts HOWEVER its purely cosmetic so its up to you but it still forcess you to get the main game separatelly
-2 Then the "Master" package has only the main game(world) and Iceborne(the DLC), that's it
-3 THEN WE HAVE THE "DELUXE MASTER EDITION" which is just the previous two combined nothing else
if money is not an issue just get the last one since its everything all in one, plus a neat extra cosmetics that makes you look like a knight
2) now I'm assuming the "missing content" is all the other dlcs, yeah you can just scroll all the way down in the list of dlc and press the MHW:I - Free Content Collection Pack which adds all for the free ones(basically its a free bunch of stuff which everyone likes),
and every other paid dlc is up to you, some are furniture, others are taunts, others are cosmetics (layered armor the kind you wear over just to look like you want), stickers, pendants(these are decorations for your weapons like attaching a bowtie, or a watch) costumes for both your handler(your co-worker) and POOGIE(the cutest piggy in the whole franchise), and a lot of hairstyles
then we have the extras...
there are vouchers basically you get 1 free for you and your PALICO(the felyne companion you get at the begining) the voucher is used to change apearance but since you only get 1 free one for each you only get to chose how you look in character creation AND SHOULD YOU wan to change you only get another try, the trick here is that you can buy others but that's just capcom making money
FIGURES: yes collection items, you can order in steam the monster statues for your room but you do you chose if you have money and if you want (everyone's favorite is DODOGAMA)
and that's it I think cause I only wanted to game you should get the Master dlc for the main game and endgame, and then get the MHW:I - Free Content Collection Pack, since its free stuff, then just add whichever dlc I wanted, hope it helps
Nice, we have the definitive answer. Thanks for the clarification. Now I can consciously buy. See you in game, then. See you soon.
