Best places to farm decorations
I have been looking around online to figure out which places are the best for decoration farms, and i've been getting lots of different answers from what i've been finding.

I just wanted to ask you guys if you know any of the really good places to farm decorations at Master Rank because i'm too dumb to find out on my own. Thanks.

Wrath of Thunder Descends and Day of Ruin are where you farm Feystones in MR as far as I'm aware. I used to run lots of Day of Ruin when farming decorations. I think there was a critter capture quest that also gave some decorations (was it about those duffel penguins?) but I don't remember if it was better or not. I think Luna/Teo/Daora at Seliana Cache are all for farming decos, but I only ever bothered with Teostra for farming, so I'm not sure how efficient others would be.

Considering your playtime, I'm sure you're aware of modding. While I doubt you'll consider it, you can ease the suffering a little with a mod that (genuinely) balances the drop rates for higher rarity Feystones. Rare stuff will still be rare, but relatively will take less time to get. Chances are, it will still take a long time either way. Some stuff has a drop rate of 0.2%* for crying out loud, and they drop from the RAREST Feystones. The most optimistic drop rates for the good stuff you're (possibly) aiming for are well below 1%. Literally every single mobile gacha game I played in my entire life so far had better rates.

PS: Attack Jewel has a drop rate of 0.27%, and ONLY drops from the rarest Feystone (Sealed Feystone). Source here.[mhworld.kiranico.com]

Thanks for the answer. I'm not sure i'll resort to modding it yet. I'm going to try it legit for a while before i consider it. Those drop chances do seem low, but as a Warframe player, i'm at home.

Expanding on this slightly, if you are trying to fit both Agitator 7 and Attack 7 into your set you are much better off using at Attack 5 Charm and supplementing the rest with Attack Deco's and farming Challenger 4 jewels.
Farming Challenger 4 jewels is easier by completing the quest "Mew are Number One" with a Tempered Furjang, this quest gives Astral Melding Tickets which are a 1/92 chance for Challenger 4's, aswell as other useful decos... no weighted drop chance for the good stuff. https://monsterhunterworld.wiki.fextralife.com/Astral+Melding+Ticket

Good Luck!

Mr.September and Jaevwyn already said everything that could be said about this, but that's not to say you can't do more, see if you want to go further the next step would be something like looking at the stars for a destined time to play, then getting a tarot reading from your local crazy hobo to know what quest to do and finally, burn a picture of the deco that you want in front of your physical copy of the game before starting the quest!

I find moving my pc outside and playing under the light of a full moon yields great results!

If you're looking for the rarest Feystone type (Sealed), you can get 3 100% guaranteed Sealed Feystones from the quests "Day of Ruin", "The Cold Never Bothered Me" and "In The Tempest's Wake", with a very small (1%) chance of getting a second set of 3 Sealed Feystones if you're lucky. Many MR tempered Elder Dragon investigations also have an 80% chance of a Sealed Feystone for each purple box, so if you get one with 4 (or rarely even 5) purple reward boxes, that's a decent chance to get a few Sealed Feystones as well.

Yes, it's still going to require some grind, but aside from mods to potentially dramatically rebalance drop rates (because the only ones I've ever found do, indeed, dramatically alter the rates and, in my opinion, over-correct and make things that rightfully should be rare absurdly too common), that's kinda just the name of the game. Monster Hunter can get grindy when you're looking for something specific.

Best of luck to you.

I can very much handle looking at stars, finding crazy hobos and burning pictures...

But as soon as i'm required to go outside, now thats crossing the line. I guess i'll be farming decorations the sub optimal way. :slimescared:
