Gold Crown Deviljho...

Been like what, 100-150 deviljho? still no big gold crown, which quest can i spam (not investigations) to hope for a gold crown?

The only guaranteed Giant Crown quest for Deviljho is on PS4 as far as I'm aware. That leaves few options for you:

1. A mod
2. Investigation spam

A non-investigation Gold Crown appearance chance is around 3%. I had better luck playing gacha games (I wish I was joking), so I used the mod to complete the last few crowns I had myself and recommend the same thing, if you are fed up already. ain't gonna lie, not shamed too, i know people don't like it, i use smart hunter, cause i think it's fun, but still, damn it's hard to find, what kind of mod are you talking about? Like odds manipulation mods?

Well, no problems with using mods or the overlay if you are not bothering anyone else. Who cares what you use if it affects no one except you, anyway?

Back to the topic. The mod is called "Guaranteed Crowns for Iceborne - Fatalis Brute Zinogre Edition". There are a few options on the mod page that either simply boost the large/small crown rates or outright make it 50/50 so everything is big or small. It's a matter of "pick your poison".

You can either reduce the grind or completely skip it if that's your thing (you still have to hunt the monsters 2 or more times either way, though). I know that it's my thing, since Deviljho was among the last crowns I was missing. My only regret is getting the rest legitimately, since it wasn't worth focusing on.

yeah i saw a category that puts all quest on the same level as event quests, i think imma go for that, i love achievements grinding, but damn, these kind of rng ones... just pain, thanks a lot for the info mate !

Good choice. I recall using the 50/50 one since I just wanted to be done with it (and I didn't have a whole lot left to get anyway). Events have significantly higher rates, sometimes even higher than Investigations if I remember correctly.

Yeah, same. I love grinding for achievements as well UNLESS they are all about luck. No challenge in randomness, after all. You're welcome by the way, and have fun! Check the guide for other mods too, if you got the time. I'm sure you'll find something else you might like. If nothing else, QoL or performance mods will make things better for you if you weren't using any.

Back when I was in high rank, before mods and Iceborne, I hunted something like 250/300 deviljho before finding one with the gold crown...
I completely understand why this kind of mods are needed...

worst part of the story there is a lovely event quest available for both crowns on the ps4 which isn't available for pc

My favorite part is how HZD was ported to PC yet the content that exists within MHW's files are still not available. I blame Soyny.
