If Ebony Odogaron is anything like the basic Odogaron, it means he'll run off to eat his little meat parcel randomly mid-combat and gain a powered up phase, probably similar to how Master Rank Odogaron pretty much seems to always begin like that, etc.
I haven't really fought Ebony Odogaron enough to know his mechanics inside and out yet, unfortunately. I'm just going to call out the Hunters Log for being kinda an exaggeration on monster abilities and things, though.
Standard Odogaron could do the exact same thing, but the meat-carrying was a specific behaviour it did during its regular behaviour so actually seeing it get powered up was fairly rare.
As for how to do it, use a clutch claw wallbang, mount, use slinger ammo to flinch, use a trap, all the standard methods apply.
Yeah, the steamy effect is what it is.
Are they still the only monsters it's worth (barely) bringing bait meat for?
