generally just try to follow as closely as you can
1. Having max Handicraft so you hit Purple sharpness
2. Master's Touch allowing for infinite Purple sharpness instead of the sliver it has by default
Without those, it's actually pretty bad. High Raw and a nice 4-slot deco, but blue sharpness by default.
I definitely agree that personal player skill is the main contributing factor, not build.
Tips for beating Ebony Odo:
-Ebony Odo adds an extra strong move to its kit where it spins, dealing a boatload of damage, then does a lunging dragon-infused bite that also wrecks your day. This attack however has a fairly obvious tell in the form of Odo crouching down and its head twitching so it should be easy enough to avoid, and shouldn't kill you if you're fully healed anyway.
-If you're using an elemental/ailment sword remember to remove Dragonblight via nulberries.
-All standard Odogaron advice applies, so bring Astera Jerky and get ready for all those combos. For Greatsword specifically your rolls out of attack recoveries should suffice for dodges.
-Ebony Odo enrages VERY quickly so get your clutch claw wallbangs in ASAP.
Tips for buildmaking:
-Get Stun Resistance and Health Boost maxed if you haven't already. IIRC two good choices in early MR for this are the Beotodus coil and Barroth legs. Two other great survivability skills include Divine Blessing and Speed Eating.
-Potentially, consider getting three pieces of Tigrex armor for Free Meal Secret, which allows for ridiculous healing item spam.
Those two things can help you a lot with monsters you find to be walls.
Master's Touch is worse on GS than more Sharpness-intensive weapons, yes, but it can still help you maintain a lot of extra damage.
Overrated, I would probably agree. Still excellent.
Sounds good. Beat it on my own already but thank you.
