Can i drink pots and use slingshot without sheathing my sword and shield?

check the settings. the E button on PC version is set to "use itam and put away weapon" thats how it is on pc. but if you only use SnS you can set E to the use item function without puting away the weapon. this will then result in no function with other weapons as you no longer put away the weapon with E but you can sprint a short duration before to sheathing the weapon.

but the hotkeys are used directly without shieting with standard settings. so the F1+1 for example

ahh okay, so it's a button conflict on mouse and keyboard.

i tried aiming the slingshot but when i press shoot which is left click in my case, it just does an attack with my sword.

Are you holding the aim button? Besides, the keys to press should appear on the top right part of the screen unless you disabled that.

The slinger can be used freely as part of Sword&Shield's moveset, but healing and tools still requires it's super-fast sheath, plus it'll auto unsheath if you didn't manually sheath it (which makes it so you cannot sprint while healing, so I prefer to sheath first)

No need to sheath. Press RT+X on the controller and you will be able to use the item right away.

Welcome to being wrong. Every weapon can sharpen with even the whet stone without sheathing if used from radial menu.

Also, that's not even OP's question.

With SnS, you can use items just by holding block and you can fire your singer at any time using the normal method.

Are you holding the aim button? Besides, the keys to press should appear on the top right part of the screen unless you disabled that.

on the keyboard if u tap C once it will bring up the reticle without needing you to hold it. So that's what i usually do to fire my slingshots. Do i need to specifically use the Hold button insead to make it work?
