Some weapons are more "technical" than others, and may require more preparation/knowledge to work effectively. From there the stars in that little tutorial.
The only thing you need to know is : play solo for the most you can, to improve your abilities, and keep trying and learning the weapons. Don't be afraid of fail nor cart, nor feeling stupidly weak etc. Keep trying improving yourself.
Do not focus on one ( of course take the time to learn, but don't sleep on ONE weapon ), since playing more wepaons opens a bigger variety of gameplay.
Plus, some weapon may be "better" than others on some monsters, you can do everything with each weapon, but nonetheless sometimes one weapons is "easier" for said monster, and if you know how to play most of them, you'll have more options available.
Completely erase from your head the concept of "main weapon", is very stupid and will limit your vision.
Do your best
Thanks alot, i will try =)
Switch axe and charge blade have most "hidden" stuff about them, but just go with what you like most and I advise different weapons, super hard monster might be really easy if you just change weapon.
But I honestly find them to be innacurate for several weapons. The most obvious example would be the charge blade. It's rated 2 stars but is the most technical weapon in the game IMO. The lance is 1 star but has one of the easiest movesets and best defense capabilities in the game, you just have to understand how to work with the slow movement speed, which is not a large hurdle. There are other strange choices like the LBG being 3 stars while the bow is 2.
I reccomend practicing with each weapon a few times against easier monsters and picking two or three that click with your playstyle.
I'm a slightly less drastic view on it.
HR49: Yes, you should learn to solo it.
HR29: If you can't solo it, practice until you can.
Those two fights teach a very important lesson. The same one. Twice.
But other then that, there arn't many fights I refuse to help with.
The first Pink Rathian fight.
The LR Anjanath fight.
Interstingly, you will notice the people who had too much help on the LR anjanath, when they run into trouble in the HR anjanath fight....
