I mentioned a lot of steps that might help in another post so I'll copy and paste that:
I have around 1200 hours and rarely had connection issues so I'm not sure what the core cause may be. I suspect it could be unstable connection from session host's end. Even if someone else hosts a quest, the session owner is prioritized when determining latency and connection quality.
You can try these, maybe one (or hopefully, more) of them will work:
1. Connect your PC to your modem via ethernet cable (if you were using Wifi before).
2. Host the session yourself, or make sure a friend of yours who has stable connection hosts
3. Don't ALT + TAB when playing in Fullscreen mode. If you have/want to ALT + TAB often, play on Borderless Fullscreen. This was one of the causes of disconnections for me a long time ago and it never returned after switching.
4. Update your network adapter, just in case. You never know what driver may act up in the unlikeliest of times.
If everything fails, consider reinstalling the game. If that also fails, update your OS or install a new OS (if updating isn't possible). I had to do that once (for another game) because Windows 10 LTSB can't be upgraded or updated (so I had to install a higher version, LTSC instead).
i am not sure why but i just unplugged my router and i also lowerd my max ping in the steam settings, i also changed my resolution and lowerd my graphics a bit (the graphic part worked a while ago for me because it seemed that i got disconnected when my cpu worked to hard)
again thanks for all the info
Happened about 5 times today on Xbox.
The only thing that permanently fixed it for me was getting a better pc but i guess that wont fix it for a xbox
dont forget to turn of nsfw mods tho cus damn the mh playerbase is thirsty for those nude mods
Right now a couple of things that can help are
- never alt-tab the game, the disconnects still happen for me when i do that to often
- lower your graphic settings/resolution, the problem also seem to happen if ur gpu/cpui uses to much (for this the better fps mods on nexus might help out)
- use fullscreen windowed.
- try restarting your router once, helped me out for like 6 months.
Hope this fixed the problem for anyone.
