Any way to start in camp for Alatreon 1st quest?
I've been practicing soloing Alatreon for a while now and the farthest I've gotten is breaking one of it's horn. What I find annoying is that every time I boot up the quest, it does the cutscene then delivers me right in front of Alatreon. While I know that I can just eat the drugs and stuff in the arena, doing it in camp is very different from doing it while being chased by a f*cking dragon! Moreover, going in via wingdrake vs going in via cutscene seems to have a difference in distance to Alatreon in that I have time to clutch claw-b*tchslap him in the former but am too far away to do it in time for the latter.
So, I was wondering, is there anyway to start in camp rather than in front of Alatreon in the Blazing Black Twilight?

No, but frankly if your best progress with Alatreon so far is only one hornbreak, you probably have bigger issues with your Alatreon runs. (I personally recommend getting Fatalis equipment before beating Alatreon. You only need to FACE Alatreon to unlock the much weaker version of Alatreon you need to slay to get access to Fatalis, and Fatalis equipment, primarily the armor, will help a lot versus Alatreon)

As a sidenote, Speed Eating will help a lot with chugging buff items in the early phases, as well as just generally keeping you alive and reducing the impact of needing to heal frequently.

Haha well I'll admit I still very much suck at this fight. I only just started after avoiding this fight for a while but leveling GL is too slow and getting boring for me so I'm trying to practice first. I'm trying to solo it with a bow so it's a deadly dance for someone like me who wasn't good with predicting attacks in the first place. But I'm getting there. I also don't wanna do Fatalis now since I also wanna solo him after Alatreon.

Ah well, I guess I'll make do with running away while drinking drugs then.

EDIT: Also what's up with StarExile and maelynx's posts? I can't see them even after 30 mins of them posting.

if he cant beat alatreon i highly doubt he can beat fatalis.

rethink your build try new weapons and such, make sure you have enough elemental damage, safi armor can really help certain weapons deal tons of elemental damage.

I've tried Safi, and I cart way too much to make it work. I'm not really an expert dodger and anyway TCE + Safi bows already do enough damage for me while also giving me enough leeway for mistakes.

Easiest way to beat alatreon for me is using elemental LBG, so her own LBG is her nemesis. If you want to try using LBG, build lunastra one that have rapid for ice and fire ammo. Build with safi armor. With this you don't need to break her horn, just switch ammo between her phase.

Do you even have enough bullets to solo him as an LBG?

...I will admit I got carried through this fight. That said, Hunting Horns with Blight Negated and Blight Res Up are still damn helpful in negating or lessening the effects of all of Alatreon's blights, and tend to have Elemental Attack Boost on top of that: Stygian Zin's HH has this and deals Dragon Damage which can help suppress Alatreon irregardless of whatever mode he's in.

Alternatively, it's possible to craft the first stage of the Alatreon Hunting Horn purely from parts your Palico swipes with the plunderblades, provided you break a horn during the hunts. Deals more Dragon Damage, has the same buffs as the Stygian Zin, but the Elderseal's lower.
