I heard that that one was only available on the Switch. It's not available on the 3DS at all?
Altough then the Switch would still only have one game that I would be interested in as Rise is coming to PC. If PC is an option then that will always be my choice as that is my prefered platform for gaming.
I'll have to look into all these games that the Switch offers and see whether it is something for me. I will definetly not get Rise for the Switch though.
It would be like getting World without Iceborne if you got the 3DS version
I'm pretty much done with consoles, mostly due to all the censorship you have to put up with in general, and I'm not saying it's just Capcom, but from all western devs and branches. At least on PC we can more easily fix most things with mods.
I will however gladly buy MH Rise when it comes out on PC.
No more caving for me, buying a console for any exclusive, never again.
emulators exist you know.
but besides that spoilers for a MH game barely matters. as the series is all about the gameplay and less about big suprises.
we also dont know if theyll delay updates again either. they havent said anything about that yet. heck you might even be able to buy the fullgame ultimate version of rise directly by then on pc. waiting is hardly an issue unless youre impatient which is the sole thing capcom is trying to monetize extra here : impatient players.
I played the original Generations years ago when it came out on the 3DS. Does the ultimate version bring a lot of new content to the table?
I do know just by looking it up that it add 22 more monsters, 6 of which are new deviants. It also has new styles and arts. which doesn't seem like enough to buy an entire console for.
also for those who don't know, you can also plug the switch into the TV if you wanted to play it on a bigger screen
There are people who prefer more serious, less "cute" looking games, but when I was little I found Super R-Type for instance a bit unappealing and gross, because it looked so serious, yet when I started to play it I could enjoy it more, because 1 friend gave the game to me as a present.
The friend liked a more "realistic" approach to games like Metal Gear Solid or C&C, yet we had the most fun playing together on Nintendo consoles.
As for PC games being fun, I found Starcraft to be very fun at first, yet I must say games like that also take 8 times the energy it is to fight a Fatalis and using a keyboard and mouse doing 100 apm affects the fingers with time. The community of Starcraft is the most toxic place I have ever been to. In PC games you have to invest years of training to be able to compete on noob level. If we compare Mario Kart with Starcraft it gives you a nice reward, and takes almost no energy.
Thank you both for the explanation! I'll have to look into what the differences are between the normal version and the ultimate version!
