that'd be difficult to achieve, I'd probably take the waist piece since it has the most natural agitator and the KT waist just has peak performance I'm not using... but with the slots I'd only get Agigtator 5, not 7.
...
That aside I probably should use the Brachy waist anyways since 3 agigtator is still better than 2 peak performance
that would be useful since I would miss it if switching from Kjaar to Safi... if it's only a 2fer that could really work out
it's 4 for free eating on kulve taroth, but only 3 if it's from Tigrex.
I could switch to Tigrex
Safi weapons can also have Essence of the monster on a weapon. giving you more use of your armor selection.
Grab Speed eating too.
So the final answer for anyone should really be "Fatalis" not even Safi compares to Fatalis armor.
Why does Fatalis armor pretty much rain king among all?
Fatalis 2 piece set - Removes the skill cap for the skill secrets.
Fatalis 4 piece set - Grants True Razor Sharp/Spare Shot. Health/Stamina +100 at the start of a quest or after fainting.
And with Some Decos and etc you can make about Any build, Medic that runs around with Wide Range + Free meal secret and not affected to roars and etc - to even some "dumb builds" like making Aliment DB (Sleep, poison or Para builds some what Viable).
But if you just wanted to know just good mix matches, depends, what weapon your using then it base off your weapon like for the longest time in end game Iceborn you had Bows using Nargacuga cause of Spareshot with Rajang for Mind Eye.
It comes down to did you had the Deco/necklace to make up the skills you need, or what your build wanted to do.
Or let say for Example your doing A monster you need Build too farm for whatever reason - lets say Temper Kushla/BlackVeil - do you need make room in your current build or rely on something else.
So in the end this ted Talk, you ask for the best "2 piece set" but without knowing your weapon, deco or some information you can't be lead to the right answer.
But I will Humor you for a moment and give you all the optional armors to go with Safi.
But here some Example of 3/2 pieces with Safi if you can't get Fatalis armor for true "End game" just yet.
Safi 3 beta - Helm, Chest, Legs
Raging Brachy 2 betas - Gloves, belt
This will be your all rounder assuming if you need mind eye you have the Deco/Necklace.
You could Swap Raging Brachy for Namielle betas 2 piece if you want huge raw element damage increase for DB/Bows
if you can get 2 pieces of Fatalis or Alatreon that be other good options for safi mix.
Like here was Example of "Decent" deco and damage increase for my DB of a Safi/Ally combo (all beta armor) with Kjarr Weapon
Safi Helm , Gloves , Legs
Ally Chest , Belt
------
I could be more narrow if I knew what weapon and what you might have unlock (MR 100+ for example) and make a more Tailor but I'll go off the bare lowest thoughts - If you want proof I'm use to making Tailor made stuff I did this during the release build up for Fatalis, where we had to fight a Temper Kushla who was really annoying with wind pressure.

I hope this helps you somewhat and understand with limited information I can only give so much help without a "blank template" and hope it fits your build.
But Yea, happy hunting.
I've beaten Alatreon, but don't have him on farm by any means and don't have the Fatalis investigation unlocked but I ASSUME I have everything else in the game done unless there's some even further secret content.
I was asking for a 2 piece set bonus because I would combo it with any other armour's 4 set, with the added Safi weapon to get a 4 get and a 2 set bonus at the same time.
1st off you need give up a slot for the skill perk on the Safi weapon to count as a "armor piece" set, and that abit RNG chance and in your case of Switch Axe you wouldn't want to give up that slot over a Element/Aliment or raw damage increase really.
Here a Tip - you can farm Ally if you have plunder blade on your Pali and just have the drop without farming it , or work ur way to unlocking Fatalis as you get a REALLY SUPER WEAK Ally, and y ou then can farm it maybe with other people.
But now with the Switch Axe let put you back into the Ally Meta - So during that time before Fatalis or Gamma Vel, and I think Nami wasn't just out (i don't remember that too well tbh)
They ran the "Safi’jiiva Armor + Raging Brachydios" combo as I mention above
Or if u want just pure raw Damage they did Safi SA (blast) with 3 teo/2 Raging Brachy
Safi’s Shatteraxe (Attack VI, Attack V x 2, Sharpness V x 2)/ Lightbreak Axe (Raging Brachy Weapon)
- if you want a Anti Ally build for SA here u go - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0V8_n0zdQM4
- and I'll be honest, Safi is way easier now then it use to, you can easily solo Safi in 1 run now or 2, cause she Scales now to how many ppl are in the match.
Hope this helps you.
