You gotta make sure you catched something before calling it back. There are visual and sound cues for when you managed to hit a fish.
The bobber gets dragged under the water, and vibrates rapidly for a while before i call it back in. But what happens at that point, is that i just pop the thing back into my hand immediately, rather than there being any QTEs that occur.
Not a big deal and it's actually easier to deal with than QTEs every time.
Honestly, I think there's a bug in my game here somehow. The visual is glitchy, it jsut rapidly vibrates between two locations when it gets pulled under, so chances are it's not even actually doing what it's supposed to be doing.
When it vibrates, it usually means you gotta call it back before the character does on his own with a sigh afterwards , like you described.
Any variation of waiting or not, yields the same result.
Bobber goes under. I can call it back within a second, or i can wait for a while, and it is the same result. No fish.
It has been like this every time i sit around trying to fish. I just spent like 10 minutes doing this while a friend was doing a gadget quest in an expedition, and did not get a single fish. Same thing every time, no matter how long I wait before pulling it back.
Isn't the default a right mouse click?
I thought that was the default for fishing.
