Pretty sure South Korea only got the pc version, while Japan got PC and 360.
It was... okay.
Lunastra is something you would find in Frontier regularly. Lots of monsters aren't designed to be a fun fight. They are designed revolved around gimmicks and to be an annoyance
The "Shoto Todoroki" of Monster Hunter was something added because "it looked cool", but made no sense. If it weren't a perfect half/half it wouldn't be so ridiculous compared to what we've seen from Elder Dragons. If maybe they kept the left side and right side as they are, but the middle was more "normal" and not a perfect split it wouldn't look like a cartoon character.

Fire wings? Ok, but why though? And how the hell does this thing fly with all those spikes? This thing has to be full of hot air for it to float, much like its joke of an edgelord concept.

A Kushala that sweats liquid metal and has a bunch of knives instead of wings which are made of solid metal yet somehow allows this thing to fly? It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Magnito!

When designing this thing the directions said "More spikes!" and had a little heart drawing next to it. Not the most bizarre design when compared to those above, but it essentially sums up Frontier with the statement "Too much isn't cool enough!"
Okay, I will preface this by saying that not every Frontier design is bad visually IMO, it's just that it's more in a "even a broken clock is right twice a day" sense. I also appreciate that Frontier's design choices are deliberately different from the main series and even like the idea of MH spinoffs having slightly more outlandish designs.
WITH THAT SAID, is there anyone out there who still isn't clear on what doing MH: Frontier designs does? Okay, last time.
This is your brain.

This is a very blurry Frontier monster design.

Any questions?
MHO is more MMO like an MMO, frontier was structured like a normal MH game.
Most of the original monsters are fine, really. Where it gets bad is with the exaggerated "variations" of existing monsters, like the zenith species, or the frontier fatalises mentioned above. Adding more/bigger spikes to an existing monster isn't necessarily a bad thing, they just handled it poorly and many of them look pretty stupid.
Original spikey monsters like Nergigante or Espinas or Akantor look cool because there was at least some competence going into their designs and how they looked.
Frontier White Fatalis has some unicorn horn jutting out of his head for no reason that makes it impossible to take the god of all monsters seriously.
