There might be some ultra-rare Event Quest exceptions (like Mosswinin' & Dining) that were mostly for novelty purposes but that hasn't been confirmed, the Siege rotations will continue on a 2-week rotation as usual and the Fatalis/Alatreon "pseudo-event" quests will work as they do already- But generally speaking, the event quests will all be permanent.
they will make safi and kulve have 1 and 2 player scaling aswell with that final patch aswell as make all eventquests permanent.
which means : end of the line FOR CERTAIN when it comes to future updates. game has ended. community will now slowly dwindle away during the next months.
Kulve actually already has solo/2 player scaling for the Master Rank quest, it's just that the DPS check to stop her leaving can be a challenge solo.
Really hope they made the Ode to Destruction event quest one of the permanent ones, love fighting Ruiner Nerg in that quest. Great to hear Safi is getting solo/2 player scaling too.
i am not talking about the master rank quest. i tought that was pretty clear that i mean the SIEGES with that.
everyone knows mr kulve has scaling. and the dps check on her was never a challenge to begin with.
it rotate everyday, which i don't think the server decide that maybe it like scripted on your character and locked by event which you need online to play it.
Just hit over a thousand hours in World and I am still depleting my zenny count with how expensive upgrading armor is. Great spiritveins are needed in tremendous bulk for augmenting and even more so for collecting all the new MR layered armor sets, and and it can be seriously demoralizing not getting a single one out of a few dozen shiny drops from tempered elders even running geology.
Not at all complaining, of course. I love still having things to work towards after all this time. Just saying thank the heavens for the low hunter rewards funding my upgrading with all those golden eggs, and thanks for Ode to Destruction. Will definitely appreciate it always being available for those times I just need a quick great vein to test out augments.
these gems lost thier value long ago already. and now even more with fatalis armor.
plus if they make ALL events permanent youll get tempered furious monkeychan back. which drops these aswell ON TOP of the decos he gives. way better to farm if youre a new player. most veterans are long done with everything by this point aside crowns maybe.
Great Spirit gems did not lose value. All of Fatalis' gear is meta. That's 10 armour pieces and 14 weapons to augment plus whatever pieces of AT Velk were meta too. Unless you already had a big stash of GSGs ready to go you'll be collecting them for a while yet.
this information is factually incorrect. 10 armor pieces is only 10 gems. alot of people had these already standing by before fatty came out.
plus the fact that you claim all 14 weapons are meta. this is for a 100% fact FALSE. the lbg for example is utter trash. the weapons which are elemental fokused also all still have better options for them aswell. so that claim is 100% false.
plus gsgs where always easy to get from GL wallbanging memes anyway. i always farmed them as a side effect of doing fuel runs in gl. worked like a charm with the right setup and weapon.
the reason i say they lost thier value is that fatty armor is the end all be all. there is never a reason to augment more armor in the future EVER AGAIN due to that. charms are done for aswell for most people. so only weapons really consume gsgs and well. that isnt much per weapon imo.
I suppose we'll have to agree this just varies on the player.
You seem to be a bit hung up on the meta. Absolutely, one can count on two hands the amount of great spiritvein gems they'd need for the fatalis gear, and their one or two weapons of choice. If that's all one needs to be content in their play, it's likely they're sitting on an excess of gems since the final update.
Then there's I, a bow main, who does not and has not ever followed meta builds. The Fatalis bow is not the best option for every monster, and even it was, I know myself and others would still enjoy running other weapons. I have experimented with so many different pieces of armor over the course of World's lifespan because I just value quality of life over damage. Needing an entire new augment project for each element only served to multiply the amount of gems I have needed, and this is just for one weapon type that I use. Charms don't take too many, I can agree on, but getting all the new layered armor just added on to the pile that's required.
Maybe I'm just unlucky, but the Guiding Lands seems to have a tendency to be very stingy with the great spiritveins. The lower tiered gems drop like candy. Also, out of the dozens of times I've ran Ode to Destruction, I've gotten more than one great gem maybe 3 or 4 times.
With all that they're used for, I have never hit double digits in great spiritvein gems.
Needless to say, for some of us, these gems are the most valuable end game resource. At least for me, no other item even comes close.
