Longsword dimensions

Does anyone know that the dimensions of the average longsword are? I want to try to make a prop of one that can be 3D printed out.

It depends on the longsword i guess, some are wider than others. Should be at least 1.60m long: its as big as the playercharacter

Yea seems to be alteast as big if not bigger as the character

You'd probably want to pick a specific Long Sword you want to print instead of trying to assemble an average size.

If said Long Sword is one of the relatively tame ones like the basic iron, you'd probably have an easier time using real swords as reference. You'd want to consider the overall size as I believe MH longswords are exaggerated in size.

well if you want average size just compare the Iron one to the character model, find the canon height or most likely height of the character and compare. from there the iron long sword can be your baseline. should make rigging any other model size wise pretty easy.

Does it base on katana or odachi
katana start around 1m and odachi can be up to 4m

simply use a cardbox template to test different sizes and see how it fits to the design

the best i could find on canon height of the character is about 175 cm.
