Both, and toss in evade extender too.
You might be right, but these just happen to be two skills that are often paired with common skills in lvl 4 jewels. The other skills that are common are not as good or kind of niche.
Unless it's swaxe, then it's EW 5 and Ext 3, because sidehop i-frames are quite a bit shorter than normal, and i-framing in sword-mode is just too much fun to pass up.
EW imho is best suited for those who haven't learned the timings on attacks or that just have shorter iframes like hops.
Divine Blessing is rng and Evade Window 5 gives so many i frames that it's pretty much impossible to get hit unless you're locked into an animation.
Might be worth going Divine Blessing for Vaal due to the high amount of effluvium procs during a hunt though.
When I do use Divine Blessing it tends to be because it's on an X/Protection decoration where it's the most useful second thing for the build.
Fully aware that it's a crutch at this point I can't live without, like Mushroomancer 3 was back on the PS4 for me which also took a long time to break free from when I started playing on the PC, but yeah what are you gonna do? It came on armour that had lots of slots and two pieces automatically unlocked the Secret and also gave you Divine Blessing 5 at the same time, and now there's endless Whatever/Protection Jewels and Fatalis armour with infinite slots to work with and All Secret on it, making it even easier to just slot in regardless.
I don't like Evade Window / Extender because I know it'll change my perception of how the game plays and will mess me up even more if I get too used to it. Just like how I simply can't play Lance or Gunlance without Evade Extender 3 because I'm too used to the hop distance, it feels horrible without it, I don't want to end up teaching myself "bad habits" by learning how to dodge and the distances covered with the Evasion skills.
Same reason I never used Focus on a Hammer. Also a reason I use Hammer is the fact it doesn't really need any specific skills to play, so I can change up my playstyle as necessary I.E Effluvium Res 3 for Vaal Hazak without immediately shattering my set having to gem it in.
I can play without Divine Blessing since I can play without getting hit (or use like, Recovery Up 3 + Speed Eating 3 or something in its place) and armour is like 1050+ defence now letting you absorb a fair bit more damage than base Iceborne, but if I was used to Evade Extender / Evade Window, I know I'd always need to have those skills lol.
I can stop using Divine Blessing whenever I want!
Imagine how godlike you'd be with Divine Blessing 5, Mushroomancer 3, Evade Extender 3, Evade Window 5, Free Meal 3 in a single set.
Why not throw in some Defence Boost 7 and as many Elemental / Status Res 3's as you can too!
