Do you need dragon resistance for Fatalis?
My build against Fatalis has 20 fire resistance, but -20 dragon resistance. As far as I know all his attacks are fire element, but I thought I read somewhere it also has dragon element? Can someone confirm this.

i can say right now though with over 1000 defense and 66 fire res, it does very little to mitigate the damage he can deal. shoot for having 20 fire res to negate the blight, something over 900 defense, run divine blessing 5 and HB3 and whatever you can cram in for part breaker 3 and other damage skills. that will have a higher chance of saving you.

also eat for Moxie or safeguard if no one else did. if you couldn't manage 20 fire res, groomer is also a good skill paired with bombardier so you can do a little more ballista and cannon damage.

If you're solo and don't have room to fit in Heavy Artillery then at least eat for the food buff to boost cannons and ballista. These tools all deal a lot of damage. Be sure to go for the Roaming Ballista ASAP as doing so should give you enough time to use it 3 times if you're lagging on DPS.

IIRC it's a misconception from the older games as Fatalis (and I believe some other monsters like Kushala) used to deal Dragon damage and inflict Dragonblight from claw attacks.

Skills matter much more than resistance stats but each point in Fire Resist translates into roughly 0.5% less damage so it's absolutely still worth it.

Fire resistance is the only important skill and that's mostly due to fire blight and how the little ticks of damage can mean the difference between carting and getting out alive with low health. To that effect, 20 is enough.

On older games he used to deal dragon blight and then you would want to deck some dragon resistance, but not anymore: in world he's pure fire.

Another interesting fact is his resistance as unlike any pure fire monster, he's actually weak to fire and resistant to water.

I highly recommend divine blessing 5 and/or evade extender 3 if you still have space in your build. Divine blessing 5 has 60% dmg mitigation with 40% proc chance, saved my a$$ so many times. Evade extender will get you out of the range in his frontal fire barf and fireball in 2 rolls instead of 3.
