No one's ever been banned for any cheating or save editing in the game. Even the worst offenders. Off- or Online.

There's always a tiny risk they might start doing it, but they haven't yet.

If you know how to, you will have no problem.
It won't be as simple as just copy-paste, though. Since the saves are locked to steam account.

Editing your safe is a illegal and Capcom has right to throw your sorry booty in jail. Do it at your own risk if you dont care about spending the rest of your life in jail.

Cap can virtually ban you ... but till now nothing ever happened. The point is that when you take over a "final save", or use some cheat, you will lose intrest in the game almost instantly.

“legal” haha

some people, no dude you totally go to jail if you edit your save.

Capcom has never banned anyone. BUT you should improve your skillz before Iceborne. It's gonna be even harder than the main game.

I wasn't even aware you could share saves, how is this done?

No you will get arrested.
A SWAT unit has been dispatched to your last logged location.

All that comes to mind is copying the friend's save to overwrite OP's save file, but I have no idea if that'd actually work. I guess I don't really see why it wouldn't, but I feel like it wouldn't be that simple.

You should play the game again instead of editing because you'll get practice and you can stop being a noob.

its always been legal to do whatever the hell you want with the software on your PC. i dont get what people dont understand. bans only get handed out when your modifying data in ways to trick or manipulate a companies servers they host for the game. like if i was manipulating valve servers so everyone got cheese in their quest rewards upon mission completion, i'd be banned and labled a hacker of valve servers.

but if i dress up as Aqua from konosuba and corner horn, i'm simply a meme.

This is so vastly inaccurate it isn't even funny. Do you know what a license is?

+1 lol , I know nobody reads the terms and coditions but damn , it's still common knowledge. It's just 1. Since they can't spy on you there's almost no chance of them catching you.
and 2. It's not worth the time and resources to do anything about it if you DO decide to do such things. But if you somehow do get their attention they have every legal right to shut you down.
