Best Weapon against Pickle Jho?

I normally use bows for everything but the pickle requires a shot to the stub arms and face, which is flailing about in my opposite direction, so I've tried everything to up the damage I can do to his other parts but it's abysmal.

I'm wondering what is effective against him, any ideas?

Every cutting melee weapon hits the legs unenraged and the chest enraged. Blunt hits head only, ranged shoots head unenraged and chest enraged. There's no weapon that performs badly on him.

Deviljho is a monster that kinda forces you to stop going crazy about weakpoints. Attacking the legs or body is perfectly fine.

Getting three hits on a part of the body with grey numbers will probably deal more overall damage than a single hit with an orange number, so if you feel like focusing weakpoints is compromising your ability to keep throwing out attacks, just go for center of mass until the weakpoint presents itself again.

Lance is pretty good with it's high pokes.

Bow is very good vs him I would watch a video on the fight. Its hard to tell you all the ways you can cuck Deviljo but you can perma lock him :D

i have a really high dps on just about every other monster, and I'm probably the damage leader or near the top when i fight him but it still takes forever. I'm mainly talking about AT Deviljho, but my tactics are usually just to keep trapping him over and over again every arena. aside from the free hits and stopping him moving around, it really wears the ♥♥♥♥ out of him. And unfortunately I don't see many hammer players against him (probably cuz its so hard to hit him good) so we have a problem wearing him down.

Trapping AT Jho has some serious disadvantages too if you have people unprepared and they run right up to his face, he moves about like crazy in the pitfall trap, but the shock traps only last for a few seconds and seem generally less worthwhile than the pitfall ones. I'd like to hear some other ways. in singleplayer its much easier to get him to focus on me, but in MP he jumps around all over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ place, it's hard to put any real numbers on him unless you can trap him/ wear him out.

You may think this is a troll, but it is not. HH is by far my favorite weapon to fight jho with. It has superb reach and can doot him in the face so ez. It also exhausts the crap out of him so jho can take all the time he needs to relax and let the doot take him away.

bow should be one of the easiest kills vs him. just dodge the rocks he throws and you should be fine. all his attacks and spins should just result in you plugging him with more arrows.

GS, CB, Hammer, Lance, funlance, and hbg are my other favorites to use against him. i favor blunt or armor piercing damage vs jho, as opposed to slashing.

hbg will murder this thing with any style of bullet, and offers shields in case you don't feel like dodging.

Yeah HBG is definitely going to be your easiest option. Clusternuke and spread being the top easiest. But you will get -10 style points and your parents will start hating you for not using HH and dooting the doots they raised you to doot.

Switch Axe honestly works well for tripping him

Clearly not "the best" but Charge Blade works well.
Most attacks give you an opportunity to skip with block into Amped Elemental Discharge or Super Amped Elemental Discharge. So long as you dodge his pin you are perfectly safe with it.
