Stun resist
Do you use stun resist ? I’m not a bad player , about average . I have over 900 hours and can’t seem to let go of stun resist . I rarely cart except from being stun . When do most of your carts occur?

Stun Resist is probably my biggest guilty pleasure skill. I probably don't get as much use out of it as I think I do, but when a hunt just isn't going my way for whatever reason and I'm getting pummelled it turns a lot of easy carts into situations I survive.

Nah. I make sure I'm always at full health or close to it, so even if I'm stunned and take a hit I'm usually fine.

I did use it until I realised that coalescence procs when you snap out of stun.

I don’t know what your mr luv is but I’m at 300 and trust me those 2 cart tempered elders investigation almost one shot you . If you get stun only luck can save you . That’s where I think this skill shines . I think if most people would use it . The success rate would raise drastically

I won't go to a hunt without stun resist lvl 3 amulet! So much time wasted without it.

I rarely hunt in groups, mostly solo or with 1 friend at a time so coral. Orchestra usualy handles stun negate for me.

I'm using the CB, one of the safest weapon in the game. I really don't need to use defensive skills like stun resist. I guess if you're using the IG or something you could go for that, but then my friend, who's an IG main, has been doing just fine without it since the game's release.

Never used it. First of all, you need to understand how stun works:

If you were hit by monster 3 times within a given window (I believe is 30 seconds, welcome to correct me on this one), you will be stunned.

So, in short, if you were hit 2 times already, sat back for a bit (say 10 or 20 seconds). Drink your potion and pay attention to the monster's attack.

I understand there are monster that will focus their attack to a single player 3 to 7 times in a row, but it is totally possible to prevent being stunned even in that situation. One possible trick is just play dead:

Just hit by a monster and you are on the ground? Don't Move! Stay laying on the ground until the combo is over.

This is not even remotely how that works. Stun is a hidden treshold that fills based on the move that hit you, moves have different stun value attached to them. Easiest way to disprove your theory is with 100% stun moves like Kulu rock jump, Teo nova etc. or with 90%+ stun value moves like Rath enrage fireballs, talon dives etc. Tzitzi flash is also 100% stun value and yet you took no hit at all.

Stun resistance is pretty good (imo the 3rd best defensive skill behind health boost and evade window) but I usually don't include it except against Teostra.

I mean, sure, there are moves that will give you stuns right away.

But 3 hits is the general rule. Disagree?

I use it.

It happens rarely, but when stun kills me... man it hurts.
Loxly Apr 14, 2020 @ 11:57am
I never used it. I usually just let my character sleep for 3-5 sec until the aggro's done. It works for most of the monster that doesn't 1 hit stun you. you can get hit 5-10 times in a row but as long as you let the stun threshold to go down, you won't get dazed. That's what happens at least in my experience, i could be wrong, i haven't actually checked about that.

If you have to sit back 10-20 sec to not be stun than my friend stun is the best skill in the game dps wise
