Odogaron most annoying monster?

such a pain in the ♥♥♥ killing this thing, his movement speed and attacks are like something on crack+roids+meth...to get the complete armour set i had to kill it a bunch of times over and the whole thing felt like god itself was testing me

Absolutely not. Odo's fast but its got tight hitboxes and is predictable once you learn it. Pretty much my only flaw with the fight is that he's not any good at actually carting you, but he's a really well-designed fight and a great monster.

Oh, and if you're still in Low Rank I would highly advise against going out of your way to get full armorsets. High/Master Rank versions are better in every way, it's best to progress through the story picking up armorpieces you actually want, then go back later for the completionist itch.

right now i just want the armour to look cool and i really like the orodragon set

the guardian armour is the highest defence armour i got right now but i got bored of it and wanted something different

Okay, I was worried that you were assuming armorsets were a more permanent investment and were getting all of them as you went along. Odogaron armor is visually fantastic.

Guardian armor (and defender armor) is designed to make the early game very easy thanks to high defense, so don't feel bad about unequipping it. It's probably for the best that you moved on from it after finding a different armorset you're happy with.

Odo is probably my favourite monster to fight, it's just really enjoyable.

Odie's job is to help you learn how to dodge and how to read attack tells, and he's a great trainer in that regard.

i'm playing with the bow so i'm not cuddling anyone unless their attacks and movement are faster than lighting itself with ridiculous range

odogaron would jump on me from across the stage in half a second i had to constantly dodge and run... i would take aim at him and he would be gone from my sight in a flash like wtf... no other monster so far was this annoying

its the best part of the crazy monkey while you try to dodge its cuddling you normally end in the love trap

the giant monkey doesn't look that annoying to me...his movement seems normal compared to odogaron

Odogaron is one of the only monster from the base game i have fun hunting. he seems fast the first time but after he becomes really predictable but rewards you for knowing his moveset. he is also one of the squishiest monsters when it comes to hitzones.
