Slicing Ammo for safi'jiiva tails

LBG user out there, is it good to make build for slicing ammo in this siege?

I would heavily advise against it and just using a regular cutting weapon.

For casual hunts Slicing Ammo can cut tails but against Safi's part HP, it's not gonna cut it. *budumtish*

It does potato damage and capcom won't even let you carry a lot of it so no.

Slicing ammo is absolute weak sauce in Master Rank. Don't even bother with it.

me and my bro tried to cut some other monsters tail like Banbaro. So we used up ALL of our Slice ammo and it still didn't cut the tail. We just wanted to test if it worth it. This was also using HBG.

A long sword user can easily deal more slice damage in under a minute than you can dish out with your entire backpack full of slice ammo.

You're better off breaking other parts instead as that will be far easier and far more useful.

Let me remind you that Safi is a 20 minutes raid. Under good condition, I can slice off the tail by myself in 10 - 15 minutes using LongSword / GreatSword.

Given the small amount of severing damage slicing ammo does, I don't think it can be done with 2 people on slicing ammo, never mind solo.

GS is still the best weapon to cut the tail because true charge has a part break multiplier of 1.5. If you really want to use ranges, try using critical draw bow which has 1.2 part break multiplier.

i mean, i'll bring it and take shots of opportunity if its clearly something people are working on, but its never the main focus of my gun. i treat it similar to a status shot. but its one you'll dump all of in order to help with the tail cutting.

but if i want to cut the tail, i bring a switch axe with PB3 and glue myself to the tail every chance i get.
