Guiding Lands cumulative max level?
Does anyone know the maximal possible sum of all region levels in the Guiding Lands? In the beginning (when there was only 4 regions), you could only have 19 max, so two regions at lvl 7 and one at 5. With Rajang and the Volcano, it increased to 23, making it possible to have 3 lvl 7 at the same time. I'd like to know if anyone knows what the current max is if you manage the region xp as efficiently as possible (no xp for lvl 1 regions and just enough to reach the next level for any other regions). If it follows the trend, it should be 27, so three regions at 7 and one at 4...

Styggy must have increased it too after all

3regions level 7 and 1 region level 4, you can go higher by hunting a ridiculously high amount of T3 tempereds.

Wait how does that work? Won't the other regions decrease again in that case?

Also there are no T3 tempereds if the region is just level 4

They're meaning to say that hunting T3 elders in general increases the overall cap at a gradual rate.

there isn't exactly a level cap on GL, but an XP cap. and each tempered T3 kill make this cap to go a little bit higher (by a few points).

Juliane_L is referencing an obscure mechanic that makes the overall Region exp cap increase slightly every single time you kill a Tempered T3 (elder dragon, rajang, stygian, savage jho, seething bazel) monster. Roughly 400 hunts gets you another Region Level equivalent which isn't particularly practical, though.

But yes, the current cap is 7,7,7,4. Maxing it out however will take a lot of optimisation to shuffle the exp around, so most people's will probably be something like 7,7,7,3 or 7,7,7,2.

Yes one level wouldn't suffice but if 2 is possible, I'd love to have 7,7,7,6,1,1 with 6 being Rotten Vale as that would make it possible for me to get all augment mats for a 12 weapon by myself (only counting extra slot and attack)
you can have every single region at level 7.

don't listen to these other people cause they have no idea what they are talking about.

just be prepared to grind a few thousand elder dragons to get every region to 7.
