Strongest monster lore wise.

What is the strongest monster lore wise? My bet is on Savage Deviljho or Ruiner Nergigante. Savage Devil is just savage for sure. Even destroying some Elder Dragons in 1v1 combat :0

i dunno about lore since this is my first MH game but imo it should be shara ishvalda, not only does he travel underground but he shrouds himself in a rock armor making him hard to kill

In MHW, either Shara or Xeno/Safi for their ability to change the environment and everything around it, including other monsters and their behaviour, so drastically without ever being even the least amount of inconvenienced by anything until the hunter shows up.

Edit: Ruiner only attacked and killed a near death Shara and regular Nergi failed to actually kill anything.

Lore wise are the black dragons. White Fatalis being the most dangerous of them all. Alatreon and Dire Miralis are also Black Dragons.

prety sure it's disufiroa from Frontier, it's called in game the strongest elder dragon. but it was before ultimate white fatalis so i dont know.
also, every monster from the black dragons category is a possible strongest monster. also Shantien, it's know in lore to fight disufiora so he is probably a black dragon level monster.

they will probably in title updates, but they will probably be the last monster intoduced. also safi'jiva is MAYBE a black dragon. we don't have confirmation yet but that is a possibility.

World only there's no "strongest". Maybe Safi or Shara to an extent, but otherwise every tier 3 (from jho to ruiner) monster is tied up. What would make one come ahead are little things as experience and luck.

Entire franchise, that's the black dragons who are said to be able to take on regular elder dragons like jho would take on great jaggras.

Assuming Frontier monsters aren't canon, White Fatalis all the way.

Ruiner Nergi did kill Shara but we did most of the work in that fight, Shara was already close to death. Nergigante gets a lot of reputation for being the "eater of elders" but in lore terms he really doesn't seem much stronger than most other EDs (pretty much the only one he's truly stronger than is Kirin, and, well... Thunder element) and he seems to mostly get his kills by outlasting them via regeneration and/or preying on already injured ones.


In World, Safi'Jiiva is absolutely the strongest monster so far. Xeno'Jiiva was already in lore terms the strongest monster in base World, and Safi'Jiiva is significantly more powerful.

Safi'Jiiva's abilities border on Black Dragon levels of insane, with probably the most notable thing for me being its ability to absorb "energy" (or, nutrients) from the ground to heal itself. The ONLY reason we could kill it was because it stuck around in its lair.

If it kept moving location instead of draining the same places it'd border on being unkillable, and as it doesn't have Xeno's main weaknesses of not being able to skilfully control its power, and being easy to damage thanks to soft flesh. I have no doubt in saying that Safi'Jiiva could easily perform Fatalis levels of destruction in destroying entire countries, but it seemed to barely miss the mark in becoming a Black Dragon.

well i've heard that there was a monster that make himself an armor made of molten human parts, was a size of zorah (or similar) AND was the one who won the war for dragons back then, so my bet is he/she.
