The Master Rank uncapping Assignments also increase GL level cap. Your next one to get your level to 6 will be at MR 69 and the final one is at MR 99.

I advise hunting other GL monsters for the time being and getting a good collection of GL parts going, it's a productive way to earn Master Rank.

thanks for the replies!

As soon as you reach the MR, Field Leader will be like "OY!", then he gives the Assignments.

Without giving too much spoiler away, the last cap in the guiding lands get removed at MR99, when you fight an elder dragon. After that, you can bring biomes at level 7.

I see, btw I don't understand the tip that says increasing other biomes' level may drop other biomes' level. Never happened something like that before, never seen any exp reduce from other biomes. How does this work, is it something I should be careful in the future?

There is a soft-cap on the overall level of every zone you have. Once you reach it, whenever you gain XP to a zone, the rest of the zones lose XP. This goes on until you drop below this soft-cap again.

You can comfortably have 2 zones on Level 7 by the end with a few more levels here and there. Or you can spend a bit of extra time and some planning to have 3 zones at 7, then lock them up, because a single track can drop them back down to Level 6.

The global cap for biomes is 23 at the moment: it means you can have 3 biomes at level 7 and 2 at level 1 at most (7x3+1+1). On the other hand, the local cap for each biome is unlocked progressing through the master rank levels: at first is level 4, than 5 than 7 (just do the missions the commander’s nephew give you when you reach the appropriate MR).
Keep in mind, the global cap (not the local cap) is calculated considering even the fraction's level for each biome, i.e. if you have the ancient forest biome at level 1.5, the global cap will calculate the ancient forest as level 1.5, not level 1. This messed with me when I wanted to have 3 biomes at level 7.

It’s something you will have to consider (sadly), because bringing biome at level 7 is the only way to spawn tempered and tempered elder version of a monster, which, in turn, drops materials you can’t obtain in any other way. Therefore, you’ll have to ask yourself: which materials I need first, and what is the most efficient route to do so?
Because believe me, finding you have to bring a biome from level 1 to 7 again just for a couple of fangs is a pain in the neck XD.

You can also just join other's Guiding Lands though and ask for a monster. Or team up with someone. You can also use materials farmed from other zones to make the ones you need at the Elder Melder. You just need to get every material there is at least once to unlock them. Once you have unlocked every mat and have a few level 7 zones, there really is no reason to change them other than getting the Pendants for reaching level 7 on them the first time.

Also finding someone who plays relatively actively and has exactly the zones you don't is nice.

You don't say.
Sadly, it isn't always possible, and especially at the beginning, when everyone is farming Guiding Lands, not everyone wants to accomodate you just because you joined an SOS.
At least, that has been my experience.

I personally had a very positive experience. I join an SOS, help them kill their target. Then I just ask: "Do you happen to have X lure?"
The response is mostly: "Sure, let me check."
You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours, eh?
