Basically their anti-japanese smear from Tencent.

Good, any time chinese flood a game, it ends bad. Check out the majority of steam games featured in China, they're all negative / mixed review because people dumb "WE NEED CHINESE LANGUAGE" and give a negative review.

Disgusting. They should ♥♥♥♥ off to their own quarantine.

From what I can tell this is just a rumor, but if it's true I don't even mind. They got MHO when the rest of the world didn't and China also managed to completely wreck PUBG, so as bad as it may sound it's no loss having them out of the loop unless they're exclusively playing with other Chinese players or something.

The actions of the few overshadow the many, as tragic as it is, and right now those actions have seated China in a bad spot in terms of online games. China is never a player you want at the table right now. This isn't fair for 90% of Chinese gamers and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it's the reality. China is so massive that the 10% that doesn't play by the rules is enough to cause serious chaos in online games, they LOVE hacking and trolling more than any other group of gamers I've ever seen. It's like a religion to them. They feed on salt and it makes them stronger, and they're better at producing it than an active mine.

In 4U/Gen it was Je suis monte! as they IG'd into death, twirling through the air. In World it would be '客观上我讨厌我的生活!' as they missed a great sword charge and got fainted out.
This post is strikes pretty true. China has a heavy hacking culture in pc gaming and while their are a lot of good apples over there. The bad apples are really head strong in making the good ones look back and brings down their reputation even if they didn't want things to be this way.

Its an unfortunate event but hopefully those that already bought the game and likes it will continue playing.

since they can't buy MHW from Tencent and chinese server got shutdown, they would come to steam via VPN instead.and this game will finally become PUBG2.

they already have Chinese version (sorta) MH online

As ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as I thought it was it was a China exclusive, China has done a good job of 'Chinaing' that game all to hell. It's also fairly dead compared to when it launched and it doesn't feel like a MH game at all.

For a true MH fan, that game is not a fix.

........... This is about China's own WeGame platform... Not the Steam version, apparently. You're basically saluting the fact that the Chinese version of the game on a Chinese platform were made unavailable for purchase.

To which platform do you think those will migrate to, if they can? Let me help you a bit.. It starts with an S and ends with a team.

I'm playing from China, and for the past weekend, I've only been matched with other Chinese players (mostly).
So... not sure if it's actually banned here, I seem to manage to play online without VPN, though it's only periodically followed by hours of frustration due to being unable to join other sessions for hours on end.
BTW, steam community is banned in China, and you have to use a VPN to be able to access it, which sucks.
Discord and most other social media platforms are blocked too.
