Where can you fin d Tsuchinoko?

I've tried looking up guides but they were rather barebones. ANyone got any better luck?

It's a bit difficult to illustrate but Tsuchinoko can generally be found in some of the rarely-visited upper walkways in the first area of the caverns, where you need to use Wedge Beetles to get to. IIRC there's a direct correlation between rare pet spawn locations like Tsuchinoko and the giant gold trawler, and spots where sunlight is hitting the terrain, so those spots are the ones you want to keep resetting and visiting. By resetting frequently (and using Felyne Zoomaster, the new canteen skill in IB if you have it), the Kulve Taroth rare pets are relatively common compared to basegame endemic life spawns.

You can keep resetting the siege and use Felyne Zoomaster as lexilogo said. Hopefully the guide I provided you could help to get an idea of the Tsuchinoko's location.

Use gourmet vouchers to trigger Zoomaster, and Biologist if you're lucky enough for it to come up. Then start the siege and check the slide right near camp, halfway down you'll find a flat area with a whole bunch of Calapa and a mushroom I think. Tsuchinko can spawn there, it's not as uncommon as you think.

It can also spawn near mining spots in the above areas of the cavern, reachable with wedge beetles, and also in a patch of grass painted by sunlight also in the upper areas. It's easiest found in the slide, however.

There's actually a chance for you to get the Tsuchinoko from the entrance to Shara Ishvalda's arena. Managed to get my 2nd one there.

gathering from literally any gathering node in a KT run can spawn it. even cannonballs.

the shara ishvalda one is new to me but not surprising.

^This. I found one slinking about in the area where you call the bird to head back down to the main arena, just outside the camp.
