Guiding lands elder melder for monster parts.
Is there any spreadsheet available that shows which monster parts you need to meld for other monster parts? Example. I need 3 tempered great horns and have one of them. In the melding list, it shows that you can meld a tempered great horn, but apparently I don't have anything "worthy" of melding them and there is no description to the side of what I would need to meld them.

So.... Is there a way to tell which parts you need to meld other parts if the game doesn't have them listed in the melding menu? Everything I have for Banbaro Tempered (what I need to actually farm this item) is too low of a level for anything but a one star "good luck with finding him" rarity. Looking for options here. The Grinding Lands really is a PITA. I just want to farm what I want to farm without all of the BS please....

The only stuff I have for melding Tempered Banbaro horns are Tempered Thunderpelts (T. Fulgur Anja), Spattered Hides, (T. Savage Jho) and Tempered Crownhorns (T. Velkhana).

There might be 1 or 2 more because I'm missing a couple of materials like Tempered Lunastra bits but that's about it. Tempered Great Horns are one of the very high demand materials that's pretty hard to come by.

When it comes to the GL you should keep in mind that rushing after one specific thing you really really want isn't a good idea, you want to have a broad range of hunting early on with it to discover as many materials as possible and going after desirable materials if/when they show up.

tempered Rajang also drop a tempered item to give more augment slots for rank 12 weapons. But it I know that a tempered version of him will not spawn in coral rank 7. Most likely need Volcano region rank 7 for that.

My best advice is to just go there in a rampage or when you feel like running fortify, and die twice, spawn a jagras, kill it, claim rewards, and then kill whatever you can so you can get monster lures and won't have to worry about stopping what you are doing because so and such monster finally decided to come to the map.

I wish guiding lands was an option. while I do like the idea of having everything all together, it just feels like a bloody palace wannabe. Hey look we have 6 other maps where we could have done this... nah, stay on this one. I'm greatly thankful for tailriders atm... It's probably the only place where I actively use it.

I can confirm Volcano Region 3 will unlock normal Rajang for all Regions if u wanna get a Tempered Rajang u need to lvl Volcano to 7.Also u can use any GL Traces for Rajang for luring out a Tempered Rajang, so it could be beneficial to save ur Rajang Traces if u plan to lvl Volcano to 7 to lure out a Tempered Version instead of the Normal One.

Thanks for this! This actually helps a lot.

GL melding is usually where you use a higher tier item in exchange for a lower tier item. With that in saying, it is better to actually fight the material rather than melding unless you have no other choice (or just Lazy).

Tempered Great Horn... is that not Banbaro. The giant cow that digs up trees and boulder?

You can find him at any region at Lv4 or above. If not, just use its lure on a region that is Lv4 or above. It will then spawn as a tempered version.

Yeah. Having to worry about which levels got shoved down and what RNG you get on monsters spawning is absolute garbage. Just a mechanic to get you to "play longer" when, it's really wasting your time. Levels in the GL should only go up and once you defeat a monster, say 3 times, you should be able to lure that monster out whenever you want. This garbage of "welp, what I want isn't there, so, guess I'll fight a Rathian.... is terrible. No one that I know that plays this game likes this mechanic. Wtf were they thinking...

Yes. All of the Tempered versions of him, for me are a one star rarity as I mistakenly reverted my forest from a 5 star to a 1 star on accident. Now I get the great task of leveling up that horrible region with monsters I have no wish to fight.... GL is horrible.

From the looks of it, you can only meld parts for a monster of the same region, and "invader" monsters that can be anywhere are considered their own group entirely.
At least, that's what I'm guessing from Deviljho and Velkhana parts being the only valid ingredients I have for making Fulgur Anjanath's parts.

I was just hoping that someone had created a spreadsheet detailing every single meldable monster piece and every piece needed to meld it. I've looked a lot of places. Haven't found one. Bummer. Guess I'll play the "go back and forth between lands and pray what I want shows up" game. Totally not a waste of time at all....

to meld tempred great horns from banbaro, you need tempred materials of fulgyr anjanth, ebony odogaron, savage deviljho, velkhana and MAYBE (i don't know about this one) tempred Rajang. but i must agree Banbaro parts are one of the worst parts to farm in GL. spawn rarely and not a fun fight. (i also belive that you can melt those banbaro horns with T ruiner nergigante mats once he comes out.)

i perssonaly like the GL.

The slot expander is for any rarity weapon, 10, 11, 12.
