Is Capcom one of the better game companies?

These days you hear how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Activision/Blizzard, Bethesda, EA, etc. is. Just wondering where Capcom stands. The only other games of theirs I am familiar with are Devil May Cry and Resident Evil.

As for now is doing great they're finally listening to their fans and pulling out masterpieces after masterpieces,RE2 remake,DMC5,MHW (bugs aside lol)

I think when compared to the likes of EA, it's not unreasonable to call them "Better".

However, they still have plenty of problems. Last generation especially they were actually quite infamous.

I've been a fan for a long, long time. I've played and liked most of their games over the years. Their library of games is vast and varied - pretty sad that you only recognize about 3 of their franchises. They had their darkest times so far years ago with on disc DLC and (temporarily) killing Mega Man, turning Breath of Fire into mobile crap and killing it, some pretty bad financial troubles etc and transitioning to modern gaming which overall is pretty cancerous with badly implemented DLC, microtransaction crapfests, lootboxes and the dreadful games as a service model. All of it is kind of unavoidable for the big companies who need to cater to limitless greed to succeed and grow until they can't sustain their own girth anymore. All that pre-order DLC for DMC is a turn off and I won't get the game until it's heavily discounted.
At least they never went full Konami. Now that was a real fall from grace. I don't want to spit on that grave though, I'd rather spit at the current Konami bigwigs.

Capcom and several others are good gaming companies. Mostly its the japanese companies and games with european developers like Ubisoft.

My top gaming companies that I will always buy games from and fully support is Blizzard (not including bungie), Capcom, Namco Bandai (if I like the game. They mostly do anime games), Square Enix (but I'm honestly tired of the FF series), and Star Breeze Studios.

All gaming companies have their own ♥♥♥♥ ups but what I really look forward to is how they make up for it, what do they do to fix it and do they listen to the peoples' voice.

EA was great up until ME2, DA1 and Sims 2 then they got greedy.

Decent, not without flaws, it's just other major publishers making nosedive so spectacularly.
