What is up with this phantom bird?

Seriously. What the ♥♥♥♥ is this absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OF A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WILDLIFE.

I've been going back and forth, doing gettin yolked on, and every other piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ information hint about this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bird spawn and NOTHING. This piece of ♥♥♥♥ will not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spawn.

Its crap like this and deco drops that drive me up the wall with this game.

Does anyone know a LEGIT 100% WAY to spawn this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flock of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ birds?

No, it does not spawn going from Forest to Wildspire. No, it has not spawned on the mission. No, it does not spawn on the Wildspire waiting for those dinosaurs to walk up to the river.

The only method I've seen floating around is to stare at a wall in areas with herbivores with the ghillie mantle on until you hear chirping. I've never had this work for me, personally, and I'd just suggest playing the game as normal instead of wasting your time hard farming Downy Crakes.

I have stared and the mantle wears off with no effect.

I also have ♥♥♥♥ all to do. Literally got my build and mantles finished. Outside of grinding MR which is just blah, this is the only "progress" related thing left and pissing me right off. Even the legendary fish showed up on my third visit and got taken no problem

There is no 100% way but you could always try Pawswapping. You have a chance to get Downy Crakes from it (not sure if you can get them from anywhere other than the Ancient Forest guys) and you can get your Treasures down if you haven't already.

Don't move, stay absolutely still, and the mantle won't wear off.

If you want to use this tactic you need to stare at the wall, I would recommend doing something in the background like something else on your PC or going AFK, then returning every 10 or so minutes to quickly look around with the camera for Downy Crakes.

You admitted in a seperate thread to raising deco drop chances via mods. Do what you want with your version of the game, but be aware you're complaining to yourself.

You have 1 build and mantles done, that's nothing. I hope you realize gear and weapons get buffed and nerfed, new content adds better gear/weapons and theorycrafting changes the meta constantly.

You're not done collecting and doing other builds, if you think a single build is going to be sufficient for every monster and situation you're sadly mistaken.

Hilariously enough, a Rathlos came down and roared, so he stunned them off the things back and I got a couple in one go. Even the monsters felt sorry for me.

I use HBG and the comfy Zinogre build. Thanks to a deco boost mod my Guard gems finally dropped so it's done

It can do anything solo and in short time. So, no. I don't need anything else. I'm a Charge Blade user but I've already got the Luna and am now just waiting for Artillery decos to drop. Which I'm not about to farm for.

So I'm just using my HBG build to unlock all the Transmog armors and after that there's nothing left because Safi weapons are the next tier and won't be out for a while.

Again: nothing to do.

The phantom bird is designed to make you extremely angry...
Sometimes it spawns after you look somewhere, and turn away from where you were looking.

There is a food skill that boosts the chance of rare endemic life, eat it, and go to the waste, run past the aptonoth? whatever the dudes guarding the herbivore egg are, and swing your camera, if you hear chirping as soon as you look away, look back and get ready to catch those punks.

If they're not there, travel to a different locale, and come back to it, you'll save A LOT of vouchers this way. and obviously every locale has rare life, so you can multitask with that drivel.

You can get rare endemic life from doing the pawswaps with the local grimalkynes.
You could also make a meal which gives you the Felyne Zoomaster skill which greatly increases the chances of rare endemic life spawning. I've used this skill whenever I wanted a specific rare creature and it makes them quite easy to find from my experience!

Take your Ghillie Mantle as theyre fairly skittish and just keep checking the Apceros herds when you have the Felyne Zoomaster skill and it should spawn fairly quickly.

Talking about the Downy Crake, right? They're basically guaranteed now, just pop Zoomaster and walk around Wildspire Wastes following the Apceros, with your camera pointed away, your music and voices turned to 0 with your volume cranked up, you'll hear them cheeping in no time at all.

Best chances are sunrise and sunset but they'll spawn during the day too if you're lucky. Ghillie mantle for the big catch, I don't think flash pods work on them but you can try that, too.
