Report a translation problem
If your internet is down and/or you're on the run from the FBI, the game will try to create an online session, then once that fails because you don't have internet, it'll just start you up offline.
Yup. it says "online" session but you can run it offline, you just can't do event quests since those rely on server timers.

I can understand if the problem was that it was singleplayer only or if it was multiplayer only but it's not so...
I just checked the store page and funnily enough the tags/info (where it says stuff like single player, controller support etc) doesn't mention multiplayer at all.
Though simply scrolling down the page and seeing all the promo art of groups of hunters, or a quick Google search reveals the game is multiplayer quite quickly.
Maybe this dude was lazy and didn't look into the game and assumed it was exclusively balanced around having a full group?
