Layered Armour

Hi everyone. How do you actually craft layered armor? I see it in the smithy but the list is empty. how do you get the materials to craft the regular armors as layered?

Regular armor layered is coming in the next update this month, otherwise there are events which give tickets for layered armour such as the AT Teo for Dante's layered armour. All AT Elder dragon event quests part from Lunastra's I believe give layered armour tickets.

Well be able to get any armour as a layered armour? Tha will be possible without the iceborne exp?

Not quite.

With Rajang on Feb 6th we'll get basic HR armor as layered.

With Stygian in March, we'll get more advanced HR armor like Rathalos stuff.

At some other point in the future (consoles got this on appreciation fest, we'll get it some other time) we'll get the rest of HR armor like Elder Dragon equipment.

Excluding the layered armorsets that were unlockable pre-Iceborne, that's pretty much every single HR set. It remains to be seen if/when MR sets will become layered but that'll presumably trickle in with more updates.

So well be able to make almost every armor (beta, alpha) a layered armor? HR armor list is BIG. Im still on the base game and using HR armors. I want layers for that. It will be possible to craft every HR armor even without being in the expansion region?

layered armor for LR and HR armors will be craftable on PC soon, MR armors will be added later
they are crafted in complete sets and require their guiding lands materials to craft

Cool! I think im going to use the transmog mod while it doesnt comes out. I can use a mod without spoiling my steam achievements?

i have no idea how the transmog mod works, but as long as it doesn't actually spawn the armors you're transmogging, it won't affect the achievements associated with it
