The Argosy DOES bring in items you can't get otherwise, it's just that they're trade-in items that are references to previous MH games, as opposed to actual useful items.
And, to be honest, I think that's for the best. If the Argosy had exclusive armorsets or things like that tied to it that I had to rely on RNG and waiting to get, I don't think that'd be interesting at all. Currently Death Stench is the only equipment that really works like that (and I guess parts of the Commission set, because some of those pieces also require Strange Cloth) and I'd rather not have the game be cluttered with too many sets like that.
That could be a thing but also add monster parts of the old world to make different weapons lets say something like Zinogre,Khzeu,Fatalis etc so random the items per monster etc
Well:
<< ... The captain of Argosy can give you objects and materials that can not be obtained anywhere else, and his cargo changes every time he arrives at port >>
This is a lie. All materials are from new world dragons, consumables can all be manufactured and salable objects can be obtained at events or from certain animals of the local fauna.
Some materials can be obtained by sending the procession of cats, such as the Death Stench or the Kelbi horns, but they also rarely go out in the missions as rewards, or using the bandit mantle (spanish translation, sorry)
So where are those materials that can not be found anywhere else?
If the Argosy makes trips to and from the old world, it is supposed to bring materials from there, then, why do he sells the materials of the new world? Has no sense.
