Custom Shoutouts

So what custom shoutouts do you plan on using while playing Monster Hunter with your friends and such? For those who don't know, you can set automatic phrases to be said whenever you perform an action, like mounting a monster or being fainted etc, and you have the ability to customise what is said when they trigger.

So what shoutouts will you be using? The common ones are for:

• When mounting a Monster:
  
• When a teammate mounts a Monster:
  
• When stunned:
  
• When you faint:
  
• When a teammate faints:
  
• When pinned by a monster:
  
• When a teammate heals you:
  
• When placing a bomb barrel:
  
• When setting a pitfall or shock trap:

• When you put on your Ghillie Mantle:

For example, I had it set to so when a teammate fainted, I'd automatically shoutout "Why are we still here? Just to suffer...?"

Any ideas for your own, or veterans from the consoles, what ones did you use and what ones did you see while playing that you found pretty funny?

Showing weapon: "A weapon to surpass Bazelgeuse"

After entering High Rank, I changed my dung pod shoutout to "Get the f*ck out of here, Bazelguese!" and never swapped it back, since it pretty much became the only thing I ever used them on

"Dung star!" is what I used for dung pods, mimicking Usopp from One Piece.

That's kinda neat actually. Maybe when a teammate heals you, or mounts a monster, or even faints, you could set it to something like "I'm telling my therapist/psychiatrist about you!"

You can also set manual shout outs too that you can use at any time, either attached to a gesture or just to be shouted randomly.

I remember having the "Lie down" gesture tied to a shoutout "Wake me when Deviljho arrives" on the the PS4 that I would use at the end of every successful hunt - my guy would lie down and relax, and that message would pop up for everyone to see.

So they're not just tied to set conditions. So if you wanted to spam something like, I dunno

then you totally can. I guess that might annoy people though. The flexibility you have with shoutouts is pretty great, though. Creating your own customised messages and attaching them to gestures to suit your needs is fun.

My buddy always used the "Prance" gesture with the phrase "Whoa watch out everybody, we've got a badass over here!" and it was always amusing.

A bit of shameless self promotion, a video I made a while ago, you can see some of the shoutouts in action, for using a dung pod, gestures, and placing traps etc. Other players used them too, but they were in Japanese lol. It's really a terrible video so uh, watch at your own risk. and sorry for "promoting" such rubbish also lol. There's probably definitely better videos out there explaining shout outs. In fact, you can run a Google image search for "Monster Hunter World Auto Shoutouts" and the images there will show you a bunch too!
