Ugly armor sets...
Is it just me or did they pick all the ugliest armor sets from the series to put in MHW?
Some of the sets actually looked good in previous games but they managed to fugly them up for MHW too.

Like who decided to put in King Beetle over Aelucanth?

Hardly any of the sets can be mix and matched for fashion (see Steam news for transmog mod) not just cause they're fugly but cause the pigment system is horrid.

"Yeah well maybe they'll add on to it later" Like they did with console? Are we always gonna be 9 months behind them? Cause if we are I don't like the looks of our future..

Screen is of Aelucanth and Barioth from like 5 years ago, and this is nothing in terms of coolness compared to a lot of the other sets in the series and I mean like dozens. Once you see all the other sets (Just google 4U, gen, mhxx, etc armor sets) the only question you'll be thinking is: Why Capcom?

(Some of my fav armor sets from differ Monster Hunter games are: Barioth, Seltas, Ceadues, Valfalk, Duramburos, Gore, Rebellion)

Here's a vid showing 4U's armor. It's pretty long might wanna set the speed to 2x and just start in the middle for the cooler and higher ranked armor sets.

Agreed MH4U had much better armor sets imo. Weapons are ok and some are great even, but I still prefer past entries designs.

I think a reasonable failing of this game is that you can't mix and match armor without looking like barbarian frankenstein.

Just wait I guess... maybe they will release some of the cooler sets from MHP3/MH4U/MHG when they bring the monsters into the game. If not then at least MHGU is on the switch xD, and to be eventually ported to the 3ds.

That's exactly what I was thinking "At least there's GenU" lol. I have Gen and 4U on 3DS but CBF to look at that tiny screen for hundreds of hours anymore.

Yeah I went and re installed MHO thinking I'd kick ass with adept style again and it was like I forgot how to ride a bike.. I was totally lost and got my ass wupped. BUT looks like they gave Zinogre some new moves. (ashame MHW tore Zinogre apart to make Odogaron and Tobi.. )

(Just wanna add MHO is not a good example of cool looking armor. There's a couple but nothing compared to 4u or Gen)

I'm more annoyed at the extremely limited color changes you can make to armors.
Only one tiny bit changes, and usually you hardly even see the difference.
Kinda makes it pointless.

I'm more annoyed you essentially have to beat the game just to change saturation / brightness of the preset colors to get the sort of color you want...

Not only that, but certain armorsets like Teostra is predominantly red and can only change such small parts of the armor...

Like wtf...

YeeeeeeUUUUUUPPPPP. If you google Aelucanth armor for example you can see people changing the major color of the amor not the tiny bits that are F***ing pointless. Like I'm looking at a pic of someone that made it gold instead of the normal black/grey.

Armor actually look pretty good IMO, have no issues with them. Weapon designs on the other hand, boy oh boy.

Dont get me started on that.. So lazy!!!!!! WTF CAPCOM?! Like the Hammer for example its all the same F***ing hammer with a differ back on it.. Not like this in 3, 4, and Gen. Every monster had it's own weapon art.

Lol these supposed to be examples of what you think are "good-looking" armors?

Most of them looks like edgy 13 y.o. wet dreams.


Also, the other non-over the top armor on your examples has the same feel on what MHW have, just crappier graphics, so I don't know what you're talking about when they basically feels the same.

What I'm saying is that, they both looks the same to me. /shrug
